I think I'm responsible for the name change. I mocked the name and said that Jen can't be respected in the radio industry with the "Jen Jen" tag and being Pappy's pet.

I'll bet I influenced her to make the change.

Rock still has to call her boss lady. Or Boss Boss.

It seems like they're trying to get her at least somewhat more involved too...when she first comes on to read the news they all say hi and good morning to her. Then she reads some 'controversial' news story, eggs pappy on and tries to get him to bite (not hard). Very awkward. Maybe they're trying to ease her into a Annie type role

Does that mean Rock gets the Steve Buchman role? Or the Steve Bartman role?!

I have no doubt we will be seeing Jiggles as a news reader on television some time in the future.

I think she'd be more suited to being an on scene reporter, rather than full time desk anchor. Personally, she doesn't have the polish to handle being on camera for a full 30 minutes reporting the news, but in a short spurt, she could probably handle it.

Short spurts, yes, she could.

No way she ever gets a TV gig. Her only hope, once Pappy leaves, is to stay in radio. There really aren't many chances for women in radio. At least in Chicago.

You either have to be the women side kick. She's doing that right now. You can be the women DJ who intorduces songs. There are a couple in town. Traffic reporter. You have to smoke 3 packs a day to get that job. They all have that scratchy voice. Or she has to wait for Kathy and/or Judy to go and replace one of them.
