Heard it today. You know, where they mix in show promos with the commercials. They're doing a campaign to promote the new shows. This one was telling and interesting.

It was one of those thing where they say "Listen to the new midday show with McKight and Bernstein"

But then they played a clip from a caller for their knew show in which the caller said the following...

"I really enjoy the new show, Dan. With your new partner, you sound more pleasant."

Something like that.

But it's significant that the Score chose to use a caller to say that for a promo. Because they could have used anything. It's a new branding that the SCORE is trying to push.

It's management saying two things.

1. Management has convinced Bernstein to be less of a dick.

2. Management is trying to say that Goff was the problem.

They have it all wrong. It is ok for Bernstein to be a dick, maybe even desirable. He can't be a dick in drive time sending cues to staff that management rewards the behavior. Bernstein is good as the cynical iconoclast. He sucks as the corporate shill, hater of the common man.

It is true though. Dan is more pleasant. He knows what the game is and how to play. Which by the way also reinforces why I was so pissed at him in recent times being a dick.

True or not it really comes across as a petty, cheap shot. Befitting the midday show & management.
