Well some people don't think a guy leaving and sending bombs is a terrorist so I think many sides misunderstand the word.

From what I understand the only reason to fear NRA members getting violent is if there is an attempt to take away any guns and then it's open season to fight with violence in response. So as long as we do that they won't actively attempt to kill others which is nice.

Listened to an interesting RadioLab episode on the NRA and gun rights in general. Fascinating.

The 2nd amendment was almost seen as trivial when it was conceived in the Bill of Rights, and the NRA began as an organization to safely educate Boy Scouts on hunting and gun safety. Wasn't until only recently where the NRA was usurped by a committee of fuckups and it's been this raging hard on ever since.

I don't like guns much, nor would I want one in my home, but....shooting guns is fun as fuck. Fired off a few shotguns, a .44, and a few other things the other weekend and had an absolute blast.
