Not sure about that. Larry Wood seems to have the Cairo Pilots heading in the right direction.

Great story but I hate all these talking heads saying this team isn't here by accident, that they were always for real, etc. They're not - they barely made it out of the first round. Then they needed another miracle against Tenn. Stop ruining the story with by projecting stupid thoughts onto what actually happened so far during the tournament.

You're wrong, homie. They can beat any team in the country. I'm not saying they will, but they can.

Probably. I mean I don't know anything about this team - I'm just along for the ride, and I hope it goes as far as it can go. But just saying...they barely beat Miami. Not saying that contradicts your point, I'm just saying relying on a miracle three pointer at the buzzer to advance in the first round doesn't really support what these talking heads are saying. It's like Loyola steamrolled through the first three games or whatever - didn't happen. Seems like lazy narrative writing on their part. Whatever though - I'm sure they like their job more than I like mine, and they get paid more than I do, so who gives a shit in the end.

I read something like 9k brackets had correctly predicted a Loyola vs K State matchup. I'm still thinking that's way too high? Who is seriously picking an 11 seed to be in the elite 8?

MANY people pick 11 or 12 seeds to advance far.

Did you watch the games? Your analysis lacks any real sophistication with the subject matter.

Tennessee coming back from a double digit deficit late in the game was much more lucky to be in it than Loyola (one of the best shooting teams in the NCAA) was to have a 15 foot shot fall in. Loyola was the team more in control of that game for the final 30 minutes.

The Miami game was tight throughout so I guess we can say that every team that won a close game in the tournament barely moved on.

At some point you have to agree that a 32-5 team that dominated its conference and has taken double digit leads against each of its last three tournament opponents might just be for real.

oh, and 2018!

Michigan needed a last second miracle in the second round.

Kansas needed a 3 in the final 30 seconds to send their game to overtime yesterday.

This Loyola Team is in the exact class of a 2010 Butler or 2013 Wichita State....correct there is no NBA star, but as a "Team" they are fucking legit. Ball movement, shooting, etc.
