Agreed to a point. In Davis's case he has an epically bad throw. 15% of the balls rolling in front of him turn into doubles. But almost 50% of base runners take a second base running on Davis.

Defensive WAR is close to useless, but UZR and other stuff is anything but.

I often defended Soriano from Cub fans who hated his defense when he was actually the best regular left fielder in the game.

I think everyone agrees if he hits like he did over the whole of last year he's definitely not making up for it.

If he is more like his 2015 and the second half of 2017 with the 330-350 obp and 500 slugging, then he may be worth it.

A well regulated outfield, being necessary to the security of another world series title, the right of the fans to want to trade Schwarber shall not be infringed.

He has to hit .240/.380 with 35 HRs for it to be worth it. Off to a good start with the bat.

Outfield positions were designed back in the 1880s!! Back then only 7 guys could hit a ball to the warning track and minorities werent even allowed to play!! The outfield needs to be re-examined and determined if it is really necessary in todays game.
