Split the series with a team of AA ballplayers.

Got shut-out by Miami's Whoda Fuckisthis.

Currently has the most strikeouts of any team in the league, including two of the top three in K's with Happ and Contreras.

Got shut-out by Cincinnati's Someguy Idontknow.

The "Best Pitching Staff" hasn't gotten a win yet. Three of the five pitchers got rocked.

Did i miss anything?

I think its a good chance Chili Davis gets fired before the all-star break. Does that happen often? Maybe Theo will just draw and quarter him right on the field.

I'll panic if they're 5 games out with 4 to play.

I haven’t had a chance to see them much this year but caught one play today. They tired to steal 2nd with Scrwaber.

Seems like they’re just playing stupid right now.

Been watching Indians at angels tonight in espn. David Ross is announing and they’re talking about the 2016 ws. Not even 2 years and it feels like nostalgia. Thank god they took advantage of the opportunity to win the WS that year.

No. They've got the division.

They'll kill the 3,4 and 5 starters on most teams. 7-10 runs in those games. And they're gonna have a lot of games where they score 0 or 1 run against the 1 and 2 starters on teams.

They're a strike out or HR team. And they're gonna face a lot of shitty pitchers in their division to get the HRs. They play everybody in the division 18 times. And they get bad pitching outside of the division as well, obviously.

In the end, it's a 90 + win team. Likely to win the division. And then it's about their starters vs the other team starters in the playoffs. And who is healthy. And some luck. It's that simple.

If they’re a hr or nothing team then they’re done for any serious WS talk.

Coming into the season I thought they’d be a team that could manufacture more runs than last year. Still hoping that’s the case but it helps if you have a real lead off hitter.

Not if their pitchers are better then the other team in the playoffs. You gotta win 2-1 games in the playoffs.

Epstein built this team to kill the regular season. Playoffs are different.

How you going to score those 2 runs vs playoff pitchers every playoff game if you depend on the hr? Not going to happen.

You hope for the hanging curve ball and the 2-run Homer. The great pitchers make mistakes every now and then. Just got to kill it when they do. You just gotta do it 4 out of 7 games. And your pitchers can't fail 4 out of 7 games.

Some hitters figure it out the versus a pitcher the second time around and take advantage on short rest — Clayton Kershaw in Game 6.

don't tell the Astros that.

the pitching should concern you far more than the hitting. The hitting will come around.

The Blackhawks won their first two games of the season by a combined score of 15-2. They're last in the division.

People freaking out now need to find something to do that doesn't involve a leisurely sport like baseball.

That was a failed hit and run, where Russell just swung and missed, rather than putting the ball in play. Time for panicking is if they get injuries to guys like Bryant, Rizzo or Contreras for the rest of the season. They will be just fine and win the division ...again.

3 straight years not only in the playoffs, but making it to the NLCS and a title to boot. The sustained success is a real thing. Not going to end anytime soon either.

Not being able to sign Ohtani and settling on Darvish should be a huge story as this season continues.

They don't have a DH in the National League, so that pretty much screwed things up. Otherwise, who knows. They were still in it at the end, past the point where teams like the Yankees had already been eliminated.

You do realize that for all of Merlot Joe's new age shit, this is an old style Earl Weaver team. Platooning (not just L/R but offense vs defense) and position/bench flexibility, lots of above average starters with no black hole, lots of home runs. Their wants to win the pitch count battle of attrition and win against the other team's bullpen.

The Mets are what, 11-1? Do you seriously think they are the 1984 Tigers?

Def looks like the same team as last year that stumbled around so much in the first half.

Lets see where they are come Memorial day.

Every team in baseball is going to have a 6-8 stretch of bad baseball. It is just magnified when it is the beginning of the season.

Strange start. The Dodgers, Cubs, and Nats all struggling in the NL
