There are many ways an employer can know exactly what you are doing. If you are on the internet from work, and linked to a network, then your employer can be recording every keystroke you make. My company does that. If I want to know, I can get a list of every site one of my staff members visits and in fact, every program they use. I can even access every single document they have on their hard drive, because it is automatically backed up every morning and evening.

I have never asked for the information and never will. Neither have any of our other managers, to my knowledge. But it's there if we want it. If someone should ever subpeona us for info, we have it.

Which is why I again give a word to the wise. If you are posting from work, get yourself an air card and access the internet outside your employer's network so nobody knows what you are doing.
