For himself.

Now we're a couple weeks away from the explosion. And Goff has said the right things after initially going unhinged. He caught himself.

But this sucks for Goffer. Really bad.

He had it. He did. And fucked it up. Fucked it up over pride and stubbornness.

He had B&B's audience that had been established for 15 years. Had Bernstein to hold his hand. And he bombed.

As has been said, ESPN 1000 fears him. So that's not an option. He can't be a DJ at an FM station. Nor would he want to do that. Can't do general talk. Can't do politics. Can't do TV. And he can't write. Lots of SCORE people wrote columns through the years. Goff was never one of those guys.

I think it's sad. Because the Jason Goff that got to the SCORE 15 years ago would have worked. The Jason Goff that we now know is a shame. Because it's not Jason Goff. It's a Bernstein influenced Jason Goff that went FULL BERNSTEIN. Even Bernstein was pissed that Goff went FULL BERNSTEIN. Because Bernstein knew that he was the only one that could pull it off. Now Bernstein's ass got demoted and he's now looking over his shoulder.

To answer my own question, I don't think Goff realizes the magnitude of this shit. I think he thinks it's gonna be fine. It's not going to be fine.

Goff should be hinged to J.Hood's ballsack right now. . . if he were smart.

Not sure on AM, but he could hop on 92.5 FM for some progressive talk.

DeCastro will just put Goff and Holmes on 104.3 to talk sports and SJW stuff in between Ja Rule and Ashanti records.

Never mind. Looks like DeCastro is bringing Ed Lover from Yo! MTV Raps fame.

Julian Jumpin' Perez landed there too. Surely Frankie Hollywood Rodriguez and Bad Boy Bill cannot be far behind.

I think DeCastro is living out his teens/college years through the radio. Hell, he might try to bring Tom Joyner out of retirement.

you know, i remember one of his nighttime shows years ago where he was doing silly schtick with that "THE RENT IS TOO DAMN HIGH!!!!" guy, and even simply playing that clip over and over and referencing it time and time again (a la howard stern) was more genuinely entertaining than a lot of the stuff you heard on the "very serious and important afternoon drive show"

also, isn't it kind of telling that parkins hasn't met an ad/read/plug he doesn't like and i don't really remember goff having commercials during his show?

hey man, i listened to julian on one of those friday/saturday night "wbmx hot mix four" mixes and he did the first verse of luniz' i got five on it on top of the instrumental for nothing but a g thing. that's pretty solid... so as opposed to doing glorious synthpop/italo-disco/etc he's just kind of tearing through a lot of rap these days.

but yeah 104.3 does play an inordinate amount of ja rule.... and i think there's a station policy to play jay-z about every half hour. kanye isn't too far behind either..... i'd stump for more 2pac but hearing radio versions of his songs are just kinda weird.

He was better when he was talking about hitting the clubs and banging bitches. Granted, after Bernstein's "boobs" nobody at the station is allowed to objectify women anymore. So he had to change on that front. Bernstein ruined it for everybody. Plus Julie is always lurking and the SCORE boys are scared of her.

speaking of, the other night i was listening to julie and laurence doing some kind of transition thingy on laurence's show and julie was doing either her 3rd or 4th mea culpa for tweeting "julie dicaro is up next and she's as beautiful as she is intelligent" on laurence's account..... she had to let everyone know that laurence NEVER refers to women by their looks like that and he also has a lot of women as guests on his show.

and i couldn't help but think..... does julie go back far enough to remember the good ol days where laurence had segments on his show like "chicks in the new prime time TV shows who could get it?" and he'd run through all the new shows pointing out the women who could, indeed, get it? #BringBackShakeThat

but yeah, like you said since bernstein's continued evolution and now especially julie's arrival that kind of segment wouldn't fly at der schnorr.

I never get tired of Beardown going over Goff getting too big for his britches and shitting the sweet bed he got from the Score & Mattress Firm. He had a prime post to host what was once a truly funny show. I just wonder what Uncle Terry thinks of all this. He got out while the getting was good. Goff will NEVER get how bad he funked this up.

You do realize that in order for this to occur it would first have to qualify as a "tired argument"?

May not be a tired argument....but I'm really fucking tired of reading about it.
