We should never take shit from a fan base than CAN'T even fill in 20K to their OWN stadium on a regular basis.

I like going to different ballparks too. I think I am going to drag the boy up to Target Field this year. Thought about Kaufman for a Cubs game as I think they are going there this year but that's a haul. I usually find myself in the twin cities once a year anyways while the closest I get to KC is probably Hamburg, IA.

i do notice that cubs fans make it a point to point out that they are there and its like still a home game. that is kind of annoying for everyone. most brewer fans could give less of a shit. there are a few who will get all smarmy but ultimately most are like thanks for coming to spend money in our city.

Moon Man is vastly superior to Spotted Cow.

Traffic is a different story this year. Much of 94 by downtown Milwaukee is under construction. No way around it....getting out of Miller Park this year will be a nightmare.

Did any of the Brewer fans want to punch the Cub fans in their face? If the tables were turned and some other team fans acted like that in Wrigley, I'm pretty sure we cub fans wouldn't be happy.

Let me let you guys in on a little secret: Brewers fans actually are what everyone accuses Cubs fans of being.

Back in the day if you were at another teams ballpark there was a way you behaved. Not loud and obnoxious like you were at your teams Home ballpark. Back then if you did that you’d get your ass kicked and it would be deserved. Cops wouldn’t even care if you went to them.

Just rooting quietly was even a risk. Ask Peter Cetera. Getting beat up at dodger stadium by marines for rooting for the Cubs was a positive for his career.

Pet peeve: the closeness of Miller Park to the north burbs is pretty overstated unless you're talking about, like, I dunno, Wadsworth. What you lose in Chicago traffic, you gain in having to observe speed limits in Wisconsin with Illinois plates and, as others have mentioned, the absolutely hellish bottleneck of the Miller Park parking lot. Plus, it's still a lot of driving, whereas most of Chicagoland can get to Wrigley Field with mere walking and sitting.

I just remembered the time the bag said he could drive from Wrigleyville to Lake Geneva in an hour. What pharmaceutical-grade bullshit that was.

 He didn't say he could, he said he did. MANY times...while leaving at 2pm on a Friday.

Maybe he had a helicopter we didn't know about.

True, but for me and Hnd it’s a drive no matter what park we go too. I mean, I’ve driven to Geneva and hopped s train and worked my way over to the park but that’s far from ideal as well. Amtrak not really a reliable option.

If you speed once you cross the Wisconsin state line, you have an 80% chance of getting pulled over too. They love to nail the FIBS.

One time I did Schaumburg to LG in under an hour, by which I mean like 59 minutes: it was after midnight, I gunned it up 12 (in a minivan!) from the state line to the exit for 50, and I was liberal with the speed limits on the Illinois side. That he could come close to that time from the city, during the day, was outlandish.

Got nailed in Woodworth off 50 a few years back by County. I still can't figure out where he was hiding. Broad daylight too.

I choose between Rte 31 and Rte 47 for LG. I ALWAYS forget that deadly traffic on 47 when going through Woodstock and pretty much the same type of congestion on 31 as it jig jogs along 120. I have never been able to figure out how Rte 47 is exclusively rural from I-90 south to I-88 but for Elburn, but then close to a typical suburban road north of I-90 through Huntley and then Woodstock.

It is less of an issue with the higher interstate speed limits now. On posted 70 mph roads, I keep it to 76-78 and have never had an issue. We made it down and back to FL with no issues this Spring Break, and we were up in Wisconsin four times in 2017 and once already this year without issue.

Yeah, and for whatever reason, Wisconsin drivers think it's perfectly acceptable to do the speed limit or under in the left lane, so rarely is there an opportunity to speed anyways on the Interstate.

Keep it at 75 in the 70 from the border to the Milwaukee city limits, and you're fine...and keeping with the flow of traffic.

The wife and I went up to Milwaukee last week and I made it from Gurnee in about 40 minutes with the construction and all.

I take I-90 west up. It is interesting how IL fixed the congestion for that road on our side of the border, while WI is racing to catch up. We had some hellish traffic last year as soon as I hit the border. Plus there is a variety of construction. In looking it up on their road site, apparently, there is a project that spans many years to get I-90 to three lanes through from the border to Madison.
