Unbelievable in the West.

The 3rd seed has 48 wins and the 8th seed has 47 wins.

That's how amazingly bunched it is between 3 through 8. I don't think something like this has ever happened in the NBA playoffs.

Should be five divisions of six with the division champs getting the top 5 seeds 1-16. No more conferences.

On the contrary, the idea I stole had an appealingly balanced scheduling matrix (4 in most of the division, 5 against two closest teams, 3 against two divisions, 2 against the other two) and would have instituted a feeling that some games during the season count more than others.

The only thing I didn't like was that the map was missing Seattle, but that's the current league's problem too.
