MANY others did.

No, they didn't. No one is running around disagreeing with the Parkland teenagers because of Tide pods. They are disagreeing because the Parkland teenagers have no better perspective on gun regulations than anyone else does even though the media keeps acting like they do. #notmycamerahogg

Yes they were.

Don't be disingenuous.

"These are the same kids who were eating Tide Pods 2 weeks ago but now we should listen to them"

And not just the Parkland kids. It was used when talking about letting 16 year olds vote.

It was a couple different places.

Point was judging a large group on stupid acts of a few is silly.

When I have never said anything close to that.

But you have said something very close to that on multiple occasions. You justify it with the logic that if the NRA won't agree with you on the problem and solution you're gonna be stubborn and extreme too and just stay on the side of banning all guns.

It was in one or two or the Parkland threads and in one of the 16 year old voting threads.

I once made a modest proposal to repeal the 2nd amendment.

The NRA is pushing me away from their side with the idea that the solution to guns in schools is adding significantly more guns to schools but I still think gun ownership is an important right. I just haven't settled on the idea that school shootings are the cost of having enough firepower to resist our government in the plausible citizens vs government war we will see in our lifetimes.

After searching it was in the Hogg thread, the school walkout thread, and for some reason the United thread.

Nothing in our 16 year old thread.

My apologies.

An AR15 is not effective for home defense. Remember?

I once made a modest proposal to repeal the 2nd amendment.

The NRA is pushing me away from their side with the idea that the solution to guns in schools is adding significantly more guns to schools but I still think gun ownership is an important right. I just haven't settled on the idea that school shootings are the cost of having enough firepower to resist our government in the plausible citizens vs government war we will see in our lifetimes.

Correct. That is "something very close" to "banning all guns". Thanks for confirming.

Do you know what a modest proposal is?

I do. I don't think you do based on this exchange.

Dont get hung up on citizens vs. Government. Think about citizen vs. Armed bad guy more.

An AR15 is not effective for home defense. Remember?

Why would you focus on ar15 here? There are other choices for defending yourself.

The AR15 is needed for the plausible war between government and citizens as I was instructed when I asked why it is needed at all.
