Day before the NFL draft and the show starts off with Condoleezza Rice and the Commission on College Basketball

Looks like Bernstein has learned nothing.

It's not a problem if mornings and afternoons lead with the draft.

Tell me this though ... what the hell is there left to say about the draft that hasn't been said for a month now? And how much of it has any real value in the end?

Ratings. Listeners love it. Even if it's the same content repackaged for the 50th time.

Tuned in for transition and heard Bernstein talk about it being solely a health decision on Meredith. That issues of arthritis (which he apparently doesn't have now) being a big concern, on a one year deal. He is still such a team mgmt. shill I had to quickly ptfb.

Yeah that narrative doesn't fly if you are trying to be "Pro-Bears FO". If they liked his talent and fit with Nagy they could have done that 2nd round tender and had him for 1 year 3 million and mitigated any health risk. Pace fucked this transaction up.

They're going in on The Sandlot again? Even Deadspin only did it once.

In Deadspin's defense, the author was a broad.

The draft is out of season. They should be breaking down NBA hoops, which is in season.

Noted board luminaries clearly stated that you just can't enough of that sterling out of season football talk. Sterling out of season football talk is truly the change that we have been waiting for. Wonder how Bernstein and Co. lacked the vision to see this.

Kirkwood is right.

NFL talk drives ratings on the radio.

It sucks having to program to brain dead morons but that's the business.

He's back at it yet again! Why is Dan so obsessed with declaring The Sandlot to be bad? It's fine!

If you have an openly negative opinion of The Sandlot, you deserve to die.

And BTW, is it ok that I dislike Field of Dreams?

A caller told Dan he knows he's treading on thin ice at the station.

Sounded like he wanted to say something but the caller just kept babbling. He didn't address it.
