You know this for a fact? I certainly do not know the ins and outs of British law. If you can provide proof is this I will grant you think statement. As it stands, this appears to be just your opinion on the matter.

First, this isn't the UK so we can continue to say what we want.
Second, this is starting to happen in the US too. If somebody posts a picture of a gun with a cryptic comment about shooting something, action (with cause IMO) is likely going to be taken.

As far as the middle finger and what the judge said, how many times do you read stories here about a judge admonishing a person during a sentence hearing? This is likely a daily occurrence in most counties throughout our country. The only thing the middle finger did for the guy was probably eliminate any chance he had of a lenient sentence.

PCSO 687 Ian Campbell and PCSO 882 Ben Hughes attended Walton colliery nature park and seized a small quantity of Cannabis from a young man who was parked up alone.
Walton Colliery nature park will be firmly on our patrol plan in the future to prevent this behaviour.

They need to go talk to the Bangor Police Department, which seems to be one of the few departments to effectively use a Facebook page. And it's not by threatening people with prosecution.
