White Sox designated hitter Jim Thome has been suspended (one game) and fined an undisclosed amount by Major League Baseball for his actions in Friday's game.

Thome argued balls and strikes and was ejected. Thome will appeal the decision.

White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen said Monday he had planned to give Thome the day off today because it's a day game after a night game.

Then can he drop the appeal and just serve the day and be done with it? A one day suspension is superfluous as the player can take a veteran's day off at any point and just call it their suspended day.

ramirez has the best arm in baseball, it has just been proved, he is better then willie mays ever was.

Sox will just have to be great, which is what they are anyway to overcome these umpires.

Suzuski is using a illegal bat, suspend him, now!!!!!! Anyone knows that if a player gets 4 hits against the white sox, they must be cheating.

Exactly, I read the umps lips and he said "I dont like you or your team, your outta here". Not even a good reason, now they suspend him, this hate for the white sox goes all the way the commish office, its a fact.

If they are goingto wear #42 for Jackie robinson, shouldnt there be a day where all the players should wear #35 for Frank Thomas?
