 No, it's not crucial. I see you want to act obtuse though. It's cool.

Why isn't it crucial? Because you want to take "most right-leaning thing" to be both "right-leaning by its nature" and "appealing to right-leaning people"? That's pretty disingenuous.

No, it's not. See leash's post above for an even clearer explanation. You're just arguing to argue at this point.

This one?

Standing for the anthem at sporting events has recently been politicized to be a left/Right issue. Let’s not be ridiculous by trying to argue otherwise.

He just intimates that "standing for the anthem" is right-leaning because of how it is "politicized". Standing for the national anthem is not inherently conservative because of "politicization", whatever that is. Again, this line of thinking necessitates that "respect" is a right-leaning concept, and "disrespect" is progressive. That's just absurd.

Ah you know you are cooking with gas when the word "absurd" is bandied about. That is his go to phrase for all legitimate points.

Let's try this: What is conservative about standing for the national anthem?

Nothing.

Caring about if someone stands for the National Anthem is a left/right thing. At least in terms of generalities.

Let’s not and say we did. No one is talking about Conservative philosophy here. We are talking about the contemporary state of politics (Left/Right) in America.

Look, I usually defend you and think that some of the things you say are taken out of context by some. But you can’t try to be a victim in this thread. It had literally nothing to do with the NBA until you slid in and started talking about the “work bae league.” You look to inject politics into everything, which is fine if that’s how you view the world. But most normal people will probably just kind of shrug at you.

Exactly how am I trying to be a victim here?
