Menards sells cheese balls in a canister that taste just like planters. They are the best.

Prime and Costco...definitely use both enough to justify it.

I have a Costco membership and split Prime with my parents (you can have 2 adults under the same membership in an Amazon "household")

My Costco membership pays for itself if all I did was purchase gasoline.

There are a few items I buy continuously (almonds, dried cherries, hard liquor, bully sticks) that also justify the membership fee.

Then you add the cheap lunch counter with $1.50 hot dog/pop or $2 slice....

Pro tip: You don't need a CostCo membership to order food from the lunch counter.

I do split the Sam's Club with my parents. We alternate each year on who pays the membership. That paid for itself just on a single purchase of daily contact lenses. Gas of course is usually 10 cents cheaper than any other place around.

Liquor/beer too.

This one varies by state as some states prohibit the discounting of liquor. If you live in a state where liquor can be discounted, then a membership is required. However, you get cheaper booze that way so it's worth it

Prime and Costco...definitely use both enough to justify it.

We have both and there is enough use to justify both.

Amazon has some content in 4k, which is getting easier to find, but it's nice to have options for that in addition to just Netflix.

I just noticed Netflix has some, too...none of which I've found I want to watch in either case...I tried Talladega Nights, but I didn't see the point.

Prime is great as they have more film options available for instant viewing than Netflix. Netflix is increasingly going towards their original content (which is fine and still worth paying for) but Prime is great when you want to find a random film to watch. If Prime was just a video service, I'd still pay for it.

As Ogie mentioned, the stuff I find on Netflix that is in 4K is completely random. Oddly enough, a lot of their stand up comedian shows are in 4K.

Prime has more well-known movies that come in 4K. That said, there's still not a ton of content from any service in 4K yet (relatively speaking).

I haven't looked at the Prime options in a while...last I remember, it was all their original series...I pay an extra 4 bucks a month for a Boomerang subscription...my 3 year old is obsessed with Scooby Doo...and I've come to realize that I want the creators of both Scrappy Doo, and A Pup Named Scooby Doo to die horrible deaths.

I will go back to check out the 4k options when I get some time, though.

All of Netflix's original content (Shows/Comedy Specials/etc) is now in 4k. I think it's the same for Amazon's original stuff too.

Is it really? When you scroll through, there are only a handful that are labeled as full 4K HD. Are they just mislabeled? I’ve never really tested it, I guess.

The franchise is self aware of how awful Scrappy was

I've noticed certain bits of self awareness have popped up...My daughter was watching the Scooby Wrestlemania movie last week, and there's a bit about Shaggy and Scooby replacing the gang's clothes in the luggage with snacks...Daphne freaks out, and Shaggy rambles something about how they all wear the same clothes all the time anyway...little things.

This dumbass thinks that Amazon should be nationalized and refocused as a public good:

I dont know how historically illiterate you have to be, or I guess just how willfully delusional, to think this is anything other than an unfathomable nightmare. Luckily it has 0% chance of happening.

Look at the author's history and its hilarious. I think millennials idolize unions as some sort of weird coping tool to get over how soft we are as a generation.

I got a headline blasted to my phone the other day: "7th Amazon employee dies."

That's 7 out of 575,000. That rate is about 50 times lower than the overall covid death rate in the US.

I do think it would be a nice gesture for them to lower the price back to $99...especially considering they haven't been making next-day or two-day deliveries. But I doubt it will happen.
