Without looking it up would you care to guess who had more all NBA first team appearances?

Come on. Will you make the same argument in an attempt to claim Steve Nash was better than Kobe since he doubled him in MVP trophies?

It depends. Would that argument irritate you?

Nope. But thanks for asking.

I'm glad. I wouldn't make that argument.

It's not really close but I'm not sure who I would choose.

Again Wade's competition was Kobe Bryant. Without looking it up who exactly was Pippen's at Small Forward?

It’s wade for me as scoring is the hardest thing to get. If your team already has a scorer, Pippen all day long. Starting from scratch give me wade and I can look else where for my defense. Wade averaged for his career more than pippens season high.

Also someone said Pippen would have averaged 25 with out Jordan. We know this answer. The season Jordan quit he averaged 22.

Wade averaged more blocks per game than Pippen. Wade could play some d when interested.

It IS close. But Pippen is the best defensive player I've ever seen. And he could dominate when called upon. I think it was the '93 series against the Knicks when Jordan couldn't hit water if he threw it in the ocean. I also have a soft spot too for him because he was under appreciated while playing for the Bulls. I wish I had a nickel for every argument I got into over him.

It is close, you are right. During the second run, there were times when Pippen wasn't far behind Jordan, overall.

I still give it to Wade because of his pure scoring ability, though.

You know what, it is quite impressive that Wade's career 22,000 points, 840 blocks, 5,400 assists, and 4,500 rebounds came against Kobe Bryant. Gotta concede that.

It’s really close. If I’m building a team I guess I go Wade because it’s likely easier to find guys that compliment him than it would be to find a superstar scorer.

If I have my star scorer in place I would obviously go Pippen.

Either way I think it’s closer than MANY will say.

this. on the button. i think pippen was more of a total package regarding offense and defense. but wade wasn't a slouch and offensively was superior.

For Wade being vastly superior and it not being close, Pippen is up 9-7 right now. These young fans like LTG don't respect the superior 80's and 90's NBA.

If it is close then LeBron going 2/4 in Miami effectively ends all talk that he is better than Jordan.

 Yes, Rick. An incredibly complex topic with thousands of variables and opinions can be boiled down that simply. Nice job - you cracked it.

Most of the pro-Lebron arguments are that he took teams with far less talent than Jordan and made them great. If Wade is similar to Pippen then that argument falls apart in Miami.

Wade got it done as the best player on a title team though.

Yeah Wade was an alpha. LeBron deferred to him the first couple years in Miami.
