I have no big issue with Vegas and if they are a good team or not. For now, its fun and the winning is cool. As with any warm weather hockey the answer will come when they are just a regular team having normal highs and lows. I am curious to see how much better they can survive than Phoenix after the novelty wears off.

A major difference for the future attendance of Vegas will be all the tourists whether they are seeing their favorite team or are just in town and decide to catch a game. It will be higher than any other city.

Well, if the novelty wears off, no one is going to pay those astronomic ticket prices, so there's that.

Well, maybe ticket prices shouldn't be astronomical.

From my perspective, it would be very difficult to generate interest in a team that was just okay for a few years. Some 5-10 year old might like them for life the next few years on this season alone.

lackhwaks were heavily discounted toward the end of the year. We looked but decided they are just so bad and we can watch them be bad from home.

Well, both, but I checked VGK tickets during the regular season, and face for the lower bowl was well above $200.

Pathetic first period from the Jets. Gave up a goal a minute in and did nothing with three ensuing power plays. Disgusting.

Kempny played some big minutes for Washington. Too bad the Blackhawks couldn't use him but he kept getting in Q's doghouse.

So if Preds win this is probably the first time in a long while all in the final four are 1 seeds right?

Yep...but, I couldn't find a definitive answer as to the last time it happened, but it's kind of hard to say considering how many times the NHL playoff format has changed over the years.

Yep

And the Cleveland Barons are playing the Montreal Maroons in the East. It's gonna be swell.

Letang wasn't very good in the series but he is still a first-pairing defensemen. Seabrook is a 3rd-pairing defensemen with a 6.8 M albatross contract.

If the Jets lose tonight -- and at this point, let's be honest, it's a foregone conclusion that they will, because all things Winnipeg can only disappoint -- they'll only have themselves to blame. Game 2, they could have won in overtime and left Nashville up 2-0, but they didn't. Game 4, they could have gone back to Nashville up 3-1, but they didn't. Game 6, they could have won the series, but not only did they not, they played their worst game of the Stanley Cup by far. They had their chances, they blew them all, and now fucking Nashville will win.

I will care though. We need Vegas to be the next dynasty in hockey.

I think Saros has a 1.000 sv% in mop-up duty. Give him a blemish or two.
