The charge is visible on Lexis’s public records database (a point raised by Deadspin’s Diana Moskovitz). Most media companies have a Lexis account, with which one can easily find a lengthy sheet of biographical information on a person, including criminal records. The Lexis criminal record for Patricia contains an apparent error— the charge is listed as “aggravated sexual assault of a child,” which in Texas is defined as aggravated sexual assault of someone who is not older than 17. However, had such a charge been seen, it presumably would have sparked even greater concern for the reader since the alleged crime involved a minor.


Perhaps, I have not yet provided that CBS, Yahoo, SI etc. etc. are not more reliable sources than Rick's favorite shit rag Deadspin but I feel good. Compared with all the other sources they are the outlier. Maybe take your coffee with a better site Rick?
