Here is ultimately what hurts Lebron's Legacy.
1) He picked a superteam in Miami, with a guy who had already won a title there, and only went 2/4 even after they openly predicted up to 7 titles there.
2) He left that team at the first sign of decline, which isn't a big deal, and went to another place where he got to handpick his team again. The guy he desperately wanted has become the scapegoat for any failure too, along with being the primary reason they got rid of their second best player who was just as important in the 1 title they won. The team also knows that he is gone to try and create another superteam somewhere else so they can't do any sort of planning around him that would have given a better chance to win another title next year even with the flawed nature of his team.
3) He has been surpassed by the Golden State Warriors as the best team of his generation. Could you imagine if the greatest player in history wasn't even the best team of his generation? This is with him literally doing everything he could to give himself the easiest path to a title.
But, he sure can rebound.
All good points. I would add to the list.
4) Flopping. What other great player has been known for so many flops? Remember when the Bulls guy pushed him and he flopped to get him thrown out of the game?
5) If LeBron did not bait Draymond Green into a technical that was ruled after the game. The Warriors probably don't lose in 2016.
6) If the Spurs made a couple free throws and snag a rebound in Game 6 the Heat only win one title.
7) Entitled whiner. He basically thinks he should never have been called for a foul ever and he thinks he is the NBA.
Super team announcement. The way he left Cleveland was the worst free agent announcement in the history of sports.
9) Fading in big games. There were a few playoff games where he mostly just disappeared in the final stretches, particularly against Boston and the Spurs. He seemed to lack that killer instinct that Jordan and Bryant had.
10) Getting dunked on during a summer camp.
