Here’s a couple of stats that highlight both his versatility and efficiency. Per Basketball-Reference, Bridges is just the fifth NCAA player in the last 25 years to knock down at least 100 3-pointers while shooting better than 50% from the field, 40% from downtown and 85% from the free-throw line over the course of a full season. The only collegian in that exclusive club over the last decade is sharpshooter Buddy Hield.
Bridges is also just the second qualified player to average at least 2.5 made 3-pointers, 1.5 steals and 1.0 blocks per game. The only other player to accomplish this feat: Shane Battier during his senior season at Duke in 2000-01.If Bridges turns out to be Buddy Heild, I’ll be very pleased. Paxson says they want and need a wing so it’s Bridges or Porter if he falls. Problem is I don’t think he falls to 7 if his medicals objectively check out.
