Of course I'm being as ass and twisting it around. But that's only because your argument about having the White Sox games on the air to "even things out" has nothing to do with it. I don't care what Murph is talking about, he sucks. Unless the White Sox games were on in place of Murph's show every other day, but that's not the case.

Murph is OK in my book. I enjoy listensing to his rants and "What If's". All his trade talk reminds me of Sam Smith.

I can't remember where I heard it, but someone else after his last start was saying something about Buerhle continuing with his bad season...
His first start was awful...about as bad as it gets.
Since then he has a 3.43 ERA. And, as usual, he gets little run support and is 1-2. The one thing that you can usually count on Buerhle for is innings. He gave up 5 runs in his last start (bad) but he didn't cause the bullpen to get overused (good).
I heard Murph ask "knowing what you know now about the Sox starters, how would you set up the starting rotation if the season was starting today?"
... ummm, how about the same way it is now you moron. Maybe Rich Hill should be the Cubs #1 starter. He started '07 4-1 with a 1.73 ERA after 6 starts (7-7 with a 4.52 ERA after). Unfortunately Murph, the season is 162 games, not 18.

Murph's logic sometimes just baffles me.

"The Cubs are 5-1 without Soriano in the line up."

Murph knows more about baseball than I will ever do, but when he shoe-horns that type of logic into it; I just get POed with him. Same with his "in-depth" commentary on the Sox rotation today.

Um, yeah. If you want to be that way, he's right with his 1-5 choices for his rotation. But you don't base decisions just one two games a piece.

"And I'm going to ask Ozzie face to face about the rundown practice."

I'm so hoping he does his usual ask the question/start to talk over the person; because Ozzie would put up with it only for so long before either telling him off or getting up and leaving (or both.)
