I knew a coach who married s former player and that was weird enough (It was couple or three years after graduation) and i think cost him his job.

Yeah I assumed. Not to me unfortunately. I did actually ask my HS about his one counselor though.

former teacher of mine got caught a few years after i graduated.... i recalled in class he would openly flirt with the hot chicks.... it was really awkward, but I never considered he was actually trying to groom/have sex with the chicks.

The glory of the internet/social media just allows us to read about now. "Back in my (our) day".... you wouldn't hear about it unless it was your hometown/local. Now, a teacher in Bumblefuck, Idaho sleeps with a student and the story works it way through 24 hour news/TMZ/social media.

My kids HS had a weird one. Young teacher doing the hot HS senior maybe when a junior also. Word gets around and the investigation and administrative leave ensues. In the end teacher gets off because I assume parents gave in to love story of student. Teacher agrees not to teach anymore (at least there). Still together I hear.

That’s the thing... I think that even farther back in the day, it wasn’t looked at as horribly as it is today. There are teachers who wound up marrying their students.

I knew a former basketball coach/p.e. teacher that was sleeping with his former student/babysitter while she was a student. He ended up divorcing his wife and marrying her. The messed up part about it for the ex was that he and her worked at the same school. It was fucked up because not only did she have that happen to her and have to look at him everyday, but the entire staff knew and she had to deal with them gossiping about the shit from to time.

Two coaches I knew, both just out of college, were banging a couple of the hottest seniors. Immediately after graduation, they were suddenly a couple...

I never really thought it was a big deal. The coaches didn't have anything to do with the girls in school, as far as being their superior or authority figure. These were 22/23 year old guys and 17/18 yo girls. In both instances, they were together for years afterwards.

I'm pretty sure at least one guy I knew had relations with one of the cute female coaches/PE teachers. No big deal.

It's weird how all these situations are getting lumped together as if it was a 12 yo girl and a 45 yo creepy dude.

This is clearly the over-policing of society. When there are not enough actual crimes to keep the police busy we have to start to make things up to criminalize. Do we really think these male students are victims?

That is really messed-up behavior. An older woman like that can ruin the kid's life. He's young and easily manipulated.

I have already said it here. The kid obviously has a great time in the moment. The issue is if he has scarred views and acts towards women in later years.

I question whether this can mess up the kid's life anymore than having access to the Internet/social media at a young age. I don't think a teacher should be banging students (in most cases, once in college I don't really care), but I also don't think we should spend time and money prosecuting and incarcerating these teachers. It's a gigantic waste of resources.
