Pepinos favorite...homemade Italian sausage grilled over charcoal on garlic bread with red sauce, giardinara, sweet peppers and melted mozzarella. :alien:
Excellent beef sandwiches too!

Admittedly chi-chi but Sergio's Special at Hannah's Bretzel is ridiculously good. I once had one for nearly 60 days in a row.

Sergio’s Special
french jambon de paris country ham, swiss gruyère cheese, fresh avocado, sliced jalapeños and housemade mango chutney on our freshly baked organic bretzel baguette

Not a big sandwich guy. I’d go Italian beef, I guess.

Poochie's Grilled Salami. Never eaten it but I have seen pictures, and it is my favorite sandwich.

The Adams overstuffed pastrami and corned beef sandwich from Schmaltz Deli in Naperville. Comes with bagel chips and a pickle, but highly recommend adding a side of soup.

The prosciutto and bocconcini sandwich with oil and tomatoes from Alpine Food Shop in Elmwood Park.

Johnnie's Beef sandwich in Elmwood Park or Arlington Heights

Manny's is still the best, but I figured that was just assumed.

I also get mine sans sauce. Ricobene's by far has the best Breaded Steak sandwich.

I can't believe you people. D'Amatos or even Bari's large Italian or Prosciutto sandwiches are far better.

And for old times sake, the Atomica at Cemitas Puebla is a heart stopper.

Or the combo at Joe Boston's

Or the Frisco at Morry' s deli on 55th street.

Makes me sad that anyone in Chicagoland thinks Jimmy Johns is considered edible and chooses it over one of the fine Mom and pop delis.

Same folks with no taste buds that love McDonalds I guess.

Ricobene's is famous institution in Chicago. I still remember many times stopping there with my family and grabbing a bag of steak sandwiches and taking them to Comisky. Lots of jealous head turns near our seats when those sandwiches came out.

meatball sub from Bari

homemade reuben only available on Fridays and Saturdays at Lil' Guys on Damen and Armitage.

Carne asada torte from Toteria San Lechon on Drake and Lawrence.

The Asian pork sandwich I had from Soulwich in Evanston a few weeks ago. Amazing.

The turkey french dip from Mr and Mrs P in Ripon Wisconsin.

And can't forget the now gone chicken schnitzel sandwich from Olga's deli on Iriving Park. RIP Olga!

The All That Jazz from Verti-Marte in New Orleans. Ham, shrimp, and mystery sauce shouldn't work. It works.

I enjoyed Olga's too. Good dolphin had health concerns about the joint. Great potato salad too.

It's a good sandwich. I've had it twice from Ricobene's, with sauce and it was delicious both times.

There's one hooked to a gas station in Wheaton I think.

Wait, shit ... Yelp seems to indicate it died.

A steak sandwich is less than the sum of its parts. Give me a muffaleta from anywhere.

I've had it a couple times. Comes served on a french roll with mustard and grilled onions. It's really really good.
