These East finals have been the weakest in decades. Washington is still Washington and Tampa is such a weak team. I hate Pittsburgh but at least they were a real contender compared to these 2 paper tigers.

I can see why all the hockey know it alls hate them. Because they proved that the know it alls know actually nothing.

And that's why the NHL has the best playoffs. Because the regular season usually doesn't mean anything. The playoffs are a crap shoot and that's why its so interesting. In the NBA I know who's going to be in the Finals. In the NHL I don't .

disclaimer : the last 2 years I knew Pitt was going to win the cup but only because of how the other series played out.

OV has been great this series and most of the playoffs.

They play like this game 7 they'll win.

But it won't matter because Vegas is going to win it all this year.

Rooting against Ovechkin brings me no joy anymore. Sure, he loses everything but you can never question his heart. The guy is fucking beast out there. We'll miss him one day.

OVs criticism in previous years was warranted but this year it's he's playing his best in the playoffs. He's like the Kobe of the NHL but is actually passing this year and making his other teammates better.

Interesting that last nights postgame Roenick was making claims something is wrong w/ Kucherov and it's not physical. Something within the team.

One of the NBC hockey guys made a comment when tb dropped the first 2 in tampa this series how Kucherov has some hockey school for kids and he wanted to show them how to 'play the right way'. NBC guy was like playing the right way in the playoffs usually doens't mean playing to win.

Maybe that's whats going on. But if they win tomorrow night i guess it'll be forgotten .

I'd rather see the Caps too. There is something smug about Tampa's play style. Like they know they're going to win this series eventually by just showing up to the rink.

They're better than the Caps in every aspect of the game yet they've been severely outplayed 5 v 5 all series. Tampa has dominated the special teams game.
