We played from the tips which was about 6300 yards. Only one par 5 on the back 9, and three par 3's on the front.

That is a good write up with nice photos. Looks like a really fun track and your irons into the green better be pretty solid.

Dropping the wife off at the airport later this morning and then it is just the dog and I until Sunday night 8)

Assuming the weather shakes out on Saturday morning, looking like 3 days in a row of golf and some nice weather to boot.
Anybody else getting out this holiday weekend?

I've got an incredibly busy weekend. Debating if I want to go out at first light somewhere on Saturday. That would pretty much be the only chance I have to play.

Who cares about "they"?

Play the from the tees that suit your game the best.

That's a high-end joint. Will you be eyeing the trash can at each tee box?

Curious to hear how this all turned out. Pretty sure you are playing today for the fundraiser.

Sounds fun. The group I play with does something similar but we throw in a buck a hole for closest to the pin
on par 3's, you have to pay everyone for 3 putts and we have a putting Nassau for both nines and total. One
of the guys is an accountant so he keeps the scorecard. A lot of it cancels out, usually someone walks away
with $15 and usually no one loses more than $10. Definitely keeps things interesting. New partners every 6
holes so everyone gets matched up together eventually.

I'm back!

Chipping went well yesterday so went and played 9 holes at Sportsman after work today. Felt great and surprisingly played great. Chipped in for birdie on #1. Parred the last 5 holes. Only one thin shot all day which is the miss my doc warned me about.

Some chest soreness after the first few shots, but then felt fine. We'l see how I feel in the morning, if all goes well going to go out and play another 9.

I never know which one is correct.

Looking forward to 9 again tomorrow. Then hopefully 18 on Monday.

Played the Links at Carillon yesterday. Standard issue horror show and posted a 109. 1 par and 7 bogeys. Played the Blue and Red 9's.

Drove the ball really well, but could not hit and get the ball to the green. Pitching was strong, but could not read the greens.

Now that the wedding has passed, I can buy new irons and breakdown and get a lesson.

Really happy for you, Don.

About the wedding, not the 109.

Don's Piracy getting closer and closer to double digits!

Walked 9 holes with my old man yesterday morning. Struggled the first two holes, posting back to back snowmen. Played the final 7 holes in 27 shots, so that was nice. My Dad had a stretch of birdie- 10- birdie. Oddest scorecard I think ive ever seen.

Played another 9 at Sportsman today. Felt great and played really well.

Next step, 18 holes tomorrow morning at Deerfield with the wife.

84 at Chevy Chase. Paid $24 w/cart after 25% off hot deal. Trying to hit more of the ball w/my irons. Easily seeing one more club in distance with better ballflight, but I need a near-perfect lie. We'll see.

Back to earth today at Deerfield. 96, couldn't putt to save my life. 6 3-putts, missed at least 7 putts inside 4 feet. Chipping wasn't great either.

But felt fine throughout and afterwards. Even hit a couple sand shots today with no reverb into the chest.

That's what really matters. Good to hear.

First time out for the year yesterday. Let's just say it did not go well, especially after my cheap-ass POS putter broke after letting it hit the ground while prepping for a chip onto the 3rd green
