I have far too many grills on my patio. I look like an insane person.

The idea of you cooking with pellets is honestly jarring. Yet another marker of encroaching age. Ugh.

Believe me, I realized just how old I am trying to assemble that thing.

Corporate life made you soft. Do you even remember the days when you got your hands dirty?

Oh for the sweet days where instructions or small screws weren't needed to put together a killer grill.

Then again I really need to go find another guy who puts together good barrel grills for a good price.

I’m sure Juan could handle it. Give him a ring.

These chicken wings were awesome.

Did the Steven Raichlen method of 320 for 1 hour to crisp the skin. Worked great.

No, I'm sure I can find a couple of brothers to take care of it. Plus, between basic Webers and locally made barrel grills, I've never q-ed on anything else.

Saw that yesterday as well. Seems like a must try. Although I don't like wings, my bottomless stomach sons make it worthwhile

I didn't do the Nashville Hot sauce. I rubbed them in peanut oil and used the Uncle Dougies sauce at Jewel. Wanted to keep it easy.

Did some smoked beans with diced jalapenos. I love those.

That sounds far more tasty. Peanut oil being the key.

For full details, rubbed in peanut oil and srinkled with Twist’d Q Mesquite chicken rub. Let it sit for about 2 hours and then coated with the Uncle Dougies Wicked Good marinade right before they went on.

320 on the smoker. After 30 minutes, apply more sauce and then let go until the color looks good. About 30 minutes.

Spice is slightly above medium. Too spicy for my wife.

Right now finishing off a couple pounds of skirt steak, fresh guacamole is ready and for the hell of it, some crab and bacon stuffed criminis.

And wishing I had another two pounds of steak as not to waste an almost perfect fire

Wings are too damn expensive. They fuck you on the wings. They couldn’t give them away twenty years ago. Now they get $3/lb for them. I’m a thigh man.

I doubled-down and got another 30 wings. For $19, Mr. Reason. Get a second job and eat some wings.

People wanted more. Did a Barbeque sauce on the second session. Neighbors were having a party and we weren't finishing them so I gave them a dozen. Hope they were good.

I figured a man of your means wouldn’t stoop to purchase expired wings. Sad.

The parade my wife was supposed to be in was canceled due to heat.

So, firing up 8 pounds of pork shoulder. Have some scallops to throw on later.

It's actually 2 - 4 pounders. They've been on for a while. I'm shooting for 5-6pm.

All grills are the SAME????

Glad to hear it worked out, Dr Ken. I was wondering how you managed with the new grill and turning 70 and everything.

I got up at 645am yesterday and grilled 24 burgers. Had a big party and didnt want to stand over the coals for an hour and a half. Put the burgers in a foil pan, poured some beef broth over them, and warmed them in the oven. They were awesome. Grilled hotdogs and beer brats when the guests were here. Cheap ass beer brats from Aldi, and they were among the best Ive ever had. I would highly recommend them.

My purpose was to grill and take care of any spiders.

So I drank MANY Founders golden ales.

Yeah. The inside joke was I served no purpose.

I guess it was not just an inside joke, but an unfunny joke too.

Trying to pass off two 4lb butts as if they were a single 8lb butt is almost as bad as claiming your chili is 5 alarms when in reality it's 2 alarm chili.
