My NBA season starts today. I rarely care about regular season NBA basketball but the intensity of a 7 game series is great.

Gilbert Arenas is an idiot. I hope Lebron lights them up and quiets him.

Same here Rick. Lebron vs Boston is more intriguing than Wiz vs Boston. It'll be interesting to see how Lebron handles banging in the paint with his back issues. He seemed ready to go in the pre game interview.

Lebron and the Cavs need to move the ball better

Great game so far. Looks like Arenas is at about 80% or so physically but his shot is on for sure. Lebron taking over at the beginning of the third spells good things for Cavs fans.

The Cavs have done well in the 4th with Bron on the bench, but his health has to be a huge concern. Their supporting cast besides Z and Varajeao are inconsistent at best.

I think this game went how alot of people see this series going. The Wizards overall are a better team but the differential is not great enough to keep LeBron from winning any game thats close.

Its great watching Tim Duncan get pissed and fired up. Should be an interesting 4th quarter.

I do think you've broken the record, Farvefan. It may be my record.

Suns/Spurs going into double OT. Tim Duncan ties the game with a 3 pointer with 3 seconds left in OT. This is turning into a historically good game.

Rockets vs Jazz

This lady doing the game for ESPN knows her stuff. I watched when she did a Bulls vs Pistons game. She's pretty good. Don't know her name or what she's done. I assume she played college ball or was in the WNBA.

Will Tracy get his ass out of the first round this year?

Chris Paul is awesome. Great way to take over starting early in the 2nd quarter. Im now a little more confident they will beat the Mavs. I thought the Mavs played pretty well and just had no answer for Paul.

Suns/Spurs has 7 games written all over it. That'll be an awesome series.

i was hoping but i got a bad feeling about it now. especially with the 83% of teams winning game 1 winning the series.

Doubtful but its tough to blame him in this series. I did find it interesting that he has never been on a team with homecourt advantage before now, but the 2nd best player is out and Alston is gonna miss at least two games.

This wasn't the first time I've seen it, but San Antonio does too much damn whining. They've never had a foul called on them that they deserved. I can understand trying to work the refs but I was getting tired of watching it. At least the end of the fourth quarter and overtime that it went away because the refs swallowed their whistles.

The Suns were also not completely innocent, but that may have been more a reaction to the Spurs.

I agree. Ginobili's act is starting to wear thin on me.

I would say that Duncan is just as bad. I really want to like Tim Duncan because he's so under appreciated because he doesn't create a great highlight but I see him constantly whining after every play and it gets old.

It should be a great series, but I'm sure that's not the last time it will annoy me.

Hasn't that always been the rap on the Spurs? I watch approximately no NBA basketball but I've heard people complain about the whinyness of the Spurs for years.

Who should I root for? I want a team that could realistically win but needs fans. Do any teams fit that description?

It has been the Spurs reputation for a while, but it was more tolerable when they hadn't won multiple championships(with Giniboli and Parker).

If you are looking for a team without fans who has a chance, I'd go with New Orleans. New Orleans probably won't win the title, but they have a good team.

New Orleans it is! I think I'm going to cheer for Utah as well. Utah seems like it's in the middle of nowhere and no one remembers them. Besides, neither one of them is supposed to win, so I need to add a couple of teams to make the probabilities sdd up to something realistic. Go Jazz! Go New Orleans team! (Hornets? They're not still in Charlotte, right?)
