What?

I think you're speaking of the NHL.

Oh, lol what yourself. The NHL, with only a minority of its players being American and white ones at that, is the least politically charged of the four leagues. The NBA is the #resistance league. Everyone knows this.

I have never heard of a take like this. if there is a resistance leauge these days it's not the NBA, but the NFL. And the NBA has always pushed to be squeaky clean. I think you're way off here buddy.

CH gets his social takes from twitter and other social media outlets. Not actual human interaction.

I do not understand nor care to understand the hockey, but the NBA is trash. The ending of that game 7 was laughable. I would definitley prefer to side with the NBA as basketball is an objectively more fun sport to watch but when there is absolutely no competitive balance the whole thing seems kinda stupid.

Well I only watch it out of my concern for politics and social awareness.

Is it any surprise that the individuals who seemingly only listen to sports talk radio in order to discuss said issues are now the ones using this rationale as a reason for people becoming interested in basketball?

What does this even mean? Your “social takes”? You can only consume information face to fave or it isn’t real?

The NBA is the resistance league yet the most politically charged issues of the past 5 years (domestic violence, CTE, Police Brutality) involved football players, not basketball players.

No one follows hockey enough to really know or care what issues were politicallly charged.

As far as issues which confront Hockey the Canadian vs U.S. thing has always been the ugly elephant in the room as well as ethnic biases that have been held against foreign born parents.

Not to mention all of the dissolution of franchises and movement of franchises from one city to another.

He had no chance this year. Yea injuries are why he mad it, but he stayed healthy when the other stars didn't. Mad props. He deserves it.

4th consecutive NBA finals match-up, please I love when the NBA apologists shove the "league has never been better" narrative dick down my throat.

Its not. I'm an NBA fan but i don't think its better now than it used to be. I find it hard to believe when post play is virtually non existent.

You watch game after game and you don't see one play called for Centers and PFs.

There is also no way in hell that a team missing its top 2 players (Both All Stars) will ever have made it to a Conf. Finals series in the heyday of the NBA.

I don't think it was as universal as you imply...plenty of people hated the Bulls.
