What? Were you expecting me to say something like 'Stephen Paddock'??? Jerks.

Paddock was a volume shooter.

i'm actually curious how much the role has changed. I can't picture Kerr running all over the court and popping out as Kolver does in the Cavs or Bulls offense. My memories has him waiting for the kick out from a collapsing double team. Was Kerr as athletic as a Korver?

I've thought about that too. Hard to say. He's not nearly as long as Korver, so I think he would struggle more today. He was never a Reggie Miller/Rip Hamilton/Ray Allen/Korver type who just moved without the ball all the time. He was just a spot-up guy.

i think he'd be fine. jason terry is 1000yrs old about the same size and still doing it.

It depends on how you define shooting I guess.

If you're just talking about stand still spot up shooting 3 point contest style, then yeah I would say Steph and Kerr are pretty equal. If the question is who is the best shooter in NBA games, Kerr can't touch Steph just simply based on the number of different shots Steph is able to get off compared to Kerr.

I'm not jorr/dirt old damn.

Plus Danny was probably a better shooter. Dolph and his 12" vertical was more of an in the paint guy who probably appreciated the star treatment and quick whistles.

Just throwin' it out there... Kerr has the highest 3-pt % in NBA history, and he is more than a full point higher than the next guy.

But couldn't get his own shot once he left Arizona more often than not

Of course. But this is a shooting thread. No playmakers allowed.

The point is you are comparing Kerr’s numbers that were primarily set shot open looks with players running off of screens or taking more contested looks.

Any site track 3 pt % in assist eligible shots?

I've been watching NBA ball since 1971. I don't know about 3-5 but one and two are:

1) Steph Curry and nobody else is close!

2) Ray Allen

I dunno which ones but they are all playing now. It's like they invented PEDs that make you shoot better.

I can agree with this a bit. Korver had a bad night over all in game 7, but he hit one around a screen between 2 contesting guys that dropped my jaw. He had no space and got it off.

If these guys were only doing set corner 3's I bet they could shoot 50%.
