Mark Jackson is expected to be named the next coach of the Knicks. I'm not sure he's the one to lead them back, but he's better than Zeke. The final two being looked at are Jackson and Skiles, but Skiles apparently is headed north of Chicago to Milwaukee.

So an ESPN gig can lead you to coaching? Expect Greg Anthony to be a coach soon then.

"And the Brooklyn Nets announce their new coach...

...Stephen A. Smith!"

I still do not for the life of me understand how thomas is still getting paid by them.

He loses the knicks 11.6 million dollars for sexual harassment, does a terrible coaching job and still gets to draw a salary from MSG.

just asking how on earth do i get a gig like that

sabu

Hoopshype is saying Skiles has verbally accepted the Bucks coaching job, thus lending more credence to the notion of Mark Jackson taking the Knicks job

I think Skiles is a good fit for Milwaukee. They should be better than they have been and do seem a bit soft. Seems like a good time to bring in the 'bad cop'

I think it's a good fit for Skiles seeing as how he'll be coaching actual NBA-level basketball players now.

Nope. When guys like Mark Jackson and Doc Rivers can get a job then someone needs to look at Kenny.

Does Kenny want to coach? He's got a pretty good job I'd think.

Yes he does. He has been begging for a team to interview him for a few years.

Personally I never saw Kenny Smith as a leader on the court as opposed to Mark jackson. Kenny was a complementary player to me. Sam Cassell and Clyde the Glide were more leaders. Mark Jackson was one of those tough nosed guys who would get in people's faces and take over. Avery was the same way - Zeke too. If Kenny wants to coach, I'd say he needs to step away from TNT and take an assistant job for a bit to prove it.
