Sounds like they don't have much of a chance at Bamba. I'm starting to lose hope of getting a difference maker at 7.

there's plenty of potential difference makers in this draft. We'll have an opportunity to not just grab one but probably choose between a couple.

If it’s Bridges, Knox, or Young I’ll be pretty disappointed.

only one of those is a potential difference maker.

I'll be extremely happy with Mikal Bridges.

In the copycat league known as the NBA, rumors of several teams trying to pull a Danny Ainge and trade down in the lottery, get the guy they want all along and pick up extra assets in the process. Atlanta, Memphis, Dallas and Orlando all listed as possible teams looking to move back.

I’m assuming Bagley’s going #2 then.

Is there any realistic chance at unloading the 7 for something of true, meaningful value, even if it's value for next year?

Sure. Probably not a realistic chance of the current regime pulling such a move off though.

I will likely talk myself into whoever they pick being a stud though.

No, this is a much stronger draft than next year. Could be one of the strongest drafts in a long time. Bulls are happy to be in the top 7 where they still have a shot at an elite prospect.

There won't be a possible difference maker other than Porter at 7. He will likely be gone.

*I* would be OK finding a guy at #7, but I like Young.

I'll be extremely happy with Mikal Bridges.

I’d be fine with him as well...not excited and I’d rather have Porter but he fills a need and gives them some badly needed defense.

As bad as the fundamentals of this team is, I do not trust these bozos to draft anykind of a difference maker. Paxson and Gar are idiots who pissed away a good team a few years ago and fired a very good coach.

Look at the management of this screwed up team...….Lousy coach. Lousy GM. Lousy Team president. AWFUL TEAM OWNER.

I think it is to be Carter, Young, or Bridges.

I like the possibility of Young, but a lot about him really worries me.

Carter has a big bust potential IMO.

Bridges is probably a safe pick, but safe picks dont really help get them to be a championship level.

So I guess I hope it is Young and he reaches the potential that many think he has.

Carter is a safe pick. I don’t love it but I don’t think he has a high bust potential. He’s going to be solid.

I see a lot of comps for Carter as Al Horford...I guess I dont see that with his game. What am I missing? Maybe things were so focused on bagley

He’s supposedly just good but not spectacular at everything and is good defensively so that sort of describes Horford in Atlanta. Horford in Boston has shown the ability to carry the team through entire playoff series so I’m not sure about that comp.

Bernsie and Mcknight were talking Bulls draft earlier today. They went through the win shares of the Bulls draft from 2003 to 2017 compared to the win shares of the players taken right after the Bulls picks. Bulls had like double the win shares. No idea what that means if anything at all, but it was interesting.

They did make some good picks. I mean, we all laughed when they drafted Noah, and he comes on stage in that outfit. Then the guy goes out and does try hard for his entire Bulls career.

It was a good discussion. They drafted some productive players. It's just such a damn shame that Rose couldn't stay healthy and wasn't right between the years. And that Butler pick, oh my.

For a one year rental. Anyone who gives up anything of value for Leonard is fucking stupid. Unless, you are trying to win a title next season and I still don't trust he plays.

Things are getting crazier and crazier as we get closer to the draft, or as I like to call it, the second best sporting event in America behind the NCAA basketball tournament. Love me some NBA draft!

Anyway, looking like the only sure thing so far is Ayton goes #1. After that its a crapshoot.

prevailing wisdom is that Sacto will take Bagley.

At #3, word is that Atlanta likes JJJ, but also is thinking of trading down to draft Young instead. also, there's Doncic.

Who knows what Memphis will do at #4. Today word came out that Bamba refused to work out for Memphis or send them his medical rex. He also refused Sacto and Orlando. Bamba appears to have narrowed his recruitment down to Dallas and Chicago with maybe Atlanta sneaking in. So will Memphis take one of the many players who don't want to play for them or will they trade the pick along with Parsons to free up some money as has been rumored?

At #5 you've got Dallas. Bamba looks like the pick, but if Doncic falls no way does he make it past Dallas. If there's one fanbase who will be easy to sell the idea of a teenaged European franchise savior it's Dallas.

At #6 you've got Orlando. Everyone says they need a PG so they will take Young, but their GM seems to love long lanky players. Porter could be the guy here if he isn't off the board already. Also hearing word that Carter might jump to this spot.

And then we have the Bulls at 7. I would say that at this point the only players we can guarantee won't be available are Ayton and Doncic. I could see an argument for any of the other top guys slipping to 7. I would hope that the Bulls take whoever is left of the big 7, but I'm scared that they will go with a safer pick like Carter or Mikal instead.

And the big wild card in all of this is MPJ. who knows what happens with him on draft night. I could see him going as high as #2 and I could also see him slipping outside the top 10.

Shakes, and the other NBA guys, who should the Bulls draft? Meaning of the realistic options, who do you want? Young or Porter if they are there because I have concerns about size and health respectively with those two. But I don't know shit about college ballplayers.

Assuming Ayton, Bagley, JJJ, Doncic, Bagley and then Orlando chooses between young and Porter I would like the Bulls to take whichever of those 2 are available. If they are both available give me Trae. If Carter is available I could see the Bulls grabbing him. I always thought they would take Nova Bridges, but starting to look like that is too much of a reach at #7.

If Porter goes earlier and Bamba or JJJ drops that would be a very tough choice for me, either one of those guys vs Trae.

But, I'm a tad biased because I'm a big Trae fan and want him on the Bulls just for selfish reasons.

You see a plausible scenario where JJJ falls to 7? I don't. I would consider giving up my Bulls fandom if he is there and they don't take him.

I do. Ayton 1, Bagley 2, Bamba/Doncic/Porter 3, Doncic/Porter 4, Bamba/Porter/Doncic 5, Trae Young 6.
