I’ll bet that Frank Kurtz feels like a real asshole now.

A person of any stripe really has to put in work to make Feder out to be a bad guy.

'Racist' as a word has no actual meaning anymore. Goff is s racist towards white people. People that didn't like Goff are racist. Racist, racist, racist. It's the new 'boy who cried wolf' (not Bruce).

Bunch of intellectually challenged asswipes everywhere a person looks anymore.

Not to mention that somehow along the way 'racist' got conflated (part laziness, part penchant for hyperbolic invective as a part of normal speech) with 'racially insensitive', which is another discussion altogether.

I hate people.
Throwing out accusations like "racist" is just a way to shut up debate and lazily shame an opponent without directly refuting their point.

What a fucking pussy Feder is.

What exactly is Feder apologizing for? Are people saying the comment was racist?

It just seemed dumb to post the opinion of some internet nobody specifically about Goff in what was presumably a news article.

But he always selects something from the comments section to post . It’s not like he was setting precedent here .

It's not about political leanings but rather why a person tunes into 670. I doubt anyone tunes in to hear the political thoughts of the Score line-up. Even if we were all right leaning, we would have tons of disagreements on specific issues- military interventions, structure of tax cuts, deficit spending, etc, etc. But we would rather debate the Bears free agent signings.

I disagree.

I think the target audience largely leans one way and the hosts were going another.

Im not saying that constant right leaning talk would be good. They definitely over did it no matter what side you're on.

But I think they could get away with the right leaning stuff in spots more than the left stuff.

For example, if theyre stance was that players SHOULD stand for the anthem, I dont think they'd get too much "stop talking politics!" comments. Not as many as taking up Kaepernick's cause anyway.

The country is changing, dman.

I think they still would get the same amount of complaints. Like you were saying before, I think it’s fine to take people at their word that they mainly just want to hear sports talk on sports radio.

No, when Mac pushed him out of middays in 2009. Murph chose to stay home.

Wow, looks like the snowflakes really got triggered by maybe the most innocuous comment in the history of comments. Good thing that vile hate speech was shut down.

Pandering sucks. I hate being pandered to just as much, if not even more, than I hate watching others be pandered to. There is nothing less interesting than watching a bunch of people sit around and agree about everything. That dynamic becomes downright dangerous when it's turned into dogma.

I feel very alone on this. I notice many people around the world place immense value on the voices of people coming through earphones and screens to validate their self worth and intelligence by reinforcing (instead of challenging) their world view.

Ya it's like brain washing. I"m different. I follow an old American tradition : The only voice I listen to is myself.

No, not just you, he's one of those people who looks generic enough that he can do that. Only the butt chin brings all his pictures together.

It's astonishing.

Seems like he must be auditioning for a Danny Boyle film.

Does the combined weight of Parkins and McKnight equal half of what Dan Jiggets weighed?

Spiegel and a freshly neutered Bernstein would be a better show than this morning snoozefest.

I think many of us on this board didn't hate Spiegel and would've liked to see him paired with Bernstein post-Goff firing.

I didn't mind him that much on air. The parody songs were dumb, but he had some decent baseball thoughts. That said, in person, he acts like a pretty big douche. At one of the Mac remotes, he walked around like he was some a-list celebrity. I'm sure there is a reason he's been divorced several times. There are probably a few other insensitive things that could be said.

at that white sox baseball game remote when he first appeared on the scene the guy couldn't be bothered to talk to listeners rather than his girlfriend (soon to be second wife)
