Nope

Yes. I know in 2018 feelings matter now and facts don't but you're wrong here my friend.

I still think the Warriors get past them.

Now if Lebron wants to win titles, take less money and go to SA, pair up Kawhi and LMA.
It will never happen of course, but does Lebron want the money or titles?

I don’t see how GS gets past them. Kawhi completely shuts down Durant and still scores 25+ on the other end. LeBron is free to wreak havoc. They have zero chance of matching up if they have just average role player in spots 3-10.

Who's matching up with the best shooting backcourt of all time?

The best defensive player of all time and the 4th best player of all time still at near his best.

I'm relatively sober. But I understand that you and particularly BC are casual fans and may not be aware of what kawhi did against the Durant warriors. I tried educating you guys but it seems you both want to be stuck on ignorant mode.

FF dismisses losing in the finals but praises losing in the conference finals. Fair and balanced.

I was more plugged in this season than the last few years, so I'd classify it as more than casual. We are better than having the I watch more games than you debate. That's a 2011 FF vs. Jbi11s argument.

It's all good. Hopefully, these guys do link up and get Boogie as a nice add on.

You don't care about LBJ's record in the finals but constantly bring up Kawhi's series against GS as if that carries more weight.

I don’t care for the who watches more games debate. This is more of a “you straight up don’t watch the games” if you think a healthy Kawhi and LeBron wouldn’t compete with the Warriors. Kawhi did it through five games with Aldridge and not much else.

Kawhi didn’t have a series against the Durant led GS so I don’t know what you’re referring to. He played a little over 4.5 games against that team and absolutely dominated them during that 4.5 games stretch. Considering that was coming off of locking LeBron up and outplaying him in a Finals series when LeBron was in his absolute prime I think it’s fair to acknowledge. You don’t? Keep in mind this is the same LeBron you think is the most talented player in history.

Can’t wait for you to try to walk yourself out of this.

Edit: Also, I do care about LeBron’s finals record. You can’t claim GOAT status and regularly get dismantled at the highest stage of your profession

I just don't think the Lakers would be able to keep up with the Warriors. The Lakers were 29th in 3pt % last year. If you can't make 3s against GS you are going to get beat.

We could def get a chance to see who's wrong tho, if Pop and Buford are willing to deal.

The team last year would bear ZERO resemblance to next year's team if this happens.

The West will expose Lebron if he decides to show up there. A Lebron team with one other good player and scrubs will not run thru the West in the 'yoffs FF.

That's fuel for GS who's knocking on the door to be in the conversation of the NBA's all time greatest teams. Lebron is not the GOAT, he doesn't play defense, and now wants to play off the ball. The man is tired. If he TRULY wants a championship, take a mid cap exemption(or whatever) and go play for Houston. Otherwise, GS will just torture and gut whatever concocted Laker team is put out on the floor. The concocted Laker team will be interesting but will not do any favors for Lebron's legacy. It very well could be embarrassing out there in the West.

Lebron is aging -but he could coast up until now in the East. In the West getting into the playoffs is a dog fight, and then there's the actual playoffs..

I've said this before and stand by it -if Lebron had played his entire career in the west he'd only have a couple finals appearances (2 maybe 3 at best) and his teams would have missed the playoffs every now and again. Playing in such an an anorexic conference for his entire career -a few of those years on a super team in Miami (which he still lost to Western teams with) has allowed him to overinflate his career.

He's still one of the best ever talent wise, but his whole legacy and its trajectory are viewed and change drastically if he has to come out of the strongest conference his whole career. It's another reason in GOAT conversations I buy less into Lebrons claim to the throne. Especially when the guy on the throne came out of the toughest conference every year when he played and won 6 rings without an L in the finals -and was MVP of every single one of those finals. It's amazing to me we're even having the 'GOAT' conversation to begin with in regards to Lebron. But, that's the media, and that's the NBA marketing and pushing a narrative. I'll also add that Lebron and his current peers have benefited statistically from playing in an era when the NBA specifically watered down one side of the game (defense) to facilitate inflated stats for the other (offense).

Kawhi Leonard is not simply another good player. He’s a better player than Kevin Durant and proves it every time they play against each other.

It took a year for Lebron and Wade and Bosh to gel. GS has been there, done that. And now they have the incentive for greatness and Lebron moving into the neighborhood only accentuates that. Kawhi matching up well with Durant doesn't change much, IMO. And certainly now that Lebron has voiced his limitations. And they are fact. Lebron turns 34 in December. But then again, maybe he's laying in the weeds. Maybe he will hook up with Tiger's doctor in Germany.

Your take on this seems more like it's based on opinion rather than fact. They're both great players but it's generally accepted by most that KD is the 2nd best player in the league behind LBJ -and arguably the best now that LBJ is slowing down. That said.. Too bad for Kiwi/LBJ Durant isn't the only future HoF level player on GS.

And again, you have Lebron and Kiwi on a gutted Laker team with no depth.. that's got 2nd round exit from the playoffs written all over it if they're coming out of the West.

LBJ is better off trying to get Cleveland to trade for Kiwi. It would be another low depth gutted team, but at least they won't have to work as hard in the playoffs coming out of the East. They'd still have Boston or Philly to deal with tho.

And btw FF.. Eyebrow Davis and Westbrick are in this conversation too -both arguably ahead of Kiwi

If you want to argue Westbrook is a better player than Kawhi you’re gonna have a bad time.

And of course saying he’s the 2nd best player is my opinion. There’s no such thing as a ranking of players based on fact. However, it is a fact that he outplayed Durant in the 4.5 games they matched up against each other when Durant went to GS. You can look that up and confirm it.

You have a lot of blind faith in Leonard returning to his usual self after an injury that's sidelined him for a long time. Also gotta question his mental toughness.

No I think those are fair questions. I started out by qualifying it as if Leonard is healthy but then just got lazy. But yeah it’s absolutely fair to question if he will return to his 2017 form physically and mentally.
