What Barkley stated last night was spot on. They were pushing the playing with Lebron makes everyone better angle and he correctly called them out on it. He stated that all everyone talked about during the Finals was how shitty his teammates were so how can they make the statement that he "makes them better".

In addition is this. Lebron played in all 82 games last season and his team only won 50 games. This occurred in a weaker conf with a supporting cast that is superior to that of the Lakers. During the playoffs he was extended to 7 games twice with one of the teams missing its 2 top players.

If the Lakers do not make significant upgrades to what they have now there is no way he contends for anything.

If you substitute Paul George (a guy that MANY on here seem to think is no good for some odd reason) for Lebron they still win 42-45 games.

Its hard to play with Lebron James If you are a guy that likes to handle the ball or create your own i.e. Lance make her dance then you won't look good playing alongside of him. He is the only guy that ever handles the ball. If you are a big that likes to post up i.e Kevin Love or even T. Thompson forget it as he has to have his all important floor spacing.


Not to mention the fact that he doesn't even attempt to play defense.

He is going to struggle in the West. If they don't make a significant move during the offseason there is no way they will be an upper echelon team.
