But it was still enjoyable, he seems like a nice guy, Corden is a likeable nut although not nearly as good of an interviewer as Ferguson, and the crowds mostly seemed legit.

And the dream story really changes Let it Be fore me. I always liked the song, but having lost my mom two years ago....

I just watched this part. Sometimes I forget what it's like to be moved.

Yeah. He did it to promote something. But he still could have said no and just been a regular guest to promote his new album. Could have played on the show as is normal. Nobody is gonna turn him down as a guest.

He did something and got something in return. That's how show biz works. It was still cool. And he was engaged and enthusiastic for the entire bit. Pretty good for an old man.

I may have misspoken.

She probably has no opinion on Paul McCartney whatsoever.

Better guess is that she just doesn't like me.

I understand completely.

Is that the first time he told his "Let it be" story? That's pretty amazing he's never shared it before and decided to tell it to a comedian of a late show. So give him credit for getting that out of him if it's was the first time he told the story.

what is the going to turn out at 76. I remember seeing him at some SNL anniversary special some years ago and his voice was gone. Paul is 76 but this guy who knows how old Faul is. maybe he's older or younger. we really don't know.

To people who haven't watched because they think it is all singing in a car, it really is not at all and there's really only one meaningful moment that happens in the car.

A lot of it was obviously prepped in advance, but what an amazing experience it would have been to be that homeowner, or one of the bar patrons and have a genuinely amazing chance encounter. He really embraced the whole thing and didn't have to be as engaging and personal as he was, so I give him credit for that. Even when he is leaving in a crowd and a random person tells him something very personal, he takes the time to pause and acknowledge that -- yeah he knows he is on TV, but that's the way you would like all your celebrities to age. It is worth watching, but I do agree that you have to set aside 23 minutes of time for it, so it isn't something you can get through during your daily porcelain squat.

Yeah, it’s not going to ring of spontaneity. But, it reminds me of when I saw Paul live. It’s not unique, but it’s personal.

Hope that makes sense.

I feel like I have heard that before but I could be mistaken.

Certainly, he told it this time in a way which had much more impact.

I feel a bit Ugie-like but my favorite McCartney song is from Wings.

Maybe I'm Amazed, Live.

I kind of got the feeling the patrons in the bar knew he was coming. The reactions once he first appeared seemed staged. But then word got out on the street and those who rushed in had no idea he was there.

Faul is an accomplished musician. He was stand in for the real Paul during the early days because he looked like him. When Paul died, Faul had some plastic surgery and that's why the Beatles stopped touring live. And Faul was righty and had to learn guitar lefty like the real paul played. that's hard and this guy did it. really impressive.

But everything after 66 is Faul's credit. Faul is really a musical genius. He knows how to read music whereas Paul did not.

That's why they broke up. Lennon couldn't get around w/ Faul.

Truth will come out one day. Ringo said it a few years ago but was quickly hushed.

I wasn't really a big fan of the Beatles. But I did really like Wings when they were hot. Not sure why Wings isn't held in high regard. It really should be.

Wings was all the Paul Beatles' songs that John said "Uh, no...those suck."

This works for me as well.

Ultimately I just don't like the bubble gum pop stuff of the early Beatles years.

While it’s not my favorite if it pops up on the random play off my phone the early stuff can still bring a smile to my fave. I was more a fan of the later half of their career. I don’t think I could do a heavy rotation of the early stuff anymore however.

I was a huge Breakfast with the Beatles fan back in the day but I definitely prefer their later years and post-Beatles stuff.

I'll listen to all of it and enjoy it, though.

As a guy who isn't a music expert, the Beatles still always amazed me. They were before my time, but just watching videos of their early performances in the states is something to behold. And to think that they are from Liverpool and the quaint hills of Britain makes them even more likeable and legendary. I can't imagine actually being from Liverpool and seeing Paul McCartney live. This was awesome.

To be honest, if I was at the bar and didn't know, I would have thought it was a mechanical McCartney. Especially if I had a few. Because it was so weird how the curtain closed after he was done with the first song. Then opened up for the 2nd song. Weird, cool and funny at the same time. Reminds me of show biz pizza when I was a kid. They would close the curtain after the characters sang. Or like a disney world show.

I'm willing to forgive the clear production choices that were made. It was still fun.

For example, his old "home" is clearly a museum now. They had pictures all over the walls, a drum set where his old drumset was, and canisters of Ajax and old boxes of Lifebuoy soap on the shelf from 1962.

I had no problem. They closed the curtain the make the jukebox part of the bit. Pick a song and out comes Paul again.

ya but that was Faul not Paul. Lennon hated Faul because Faul was going to do this own thing but as Paul. Paul/Lennon had similar tastes in music in creativity but Faul did not.

Faul is rumored to have been from Canada but I can't confirm that. A policeman too. A clue he put in the bathroom window song. And the picture on that album as another clue :

Even w/ saying that you go to give credit to Faul. Since 1966 his talent cannot be denied even though it was used as an imposter.

I can't tell if HawaiiYou really believes the Paul Is Dead stuff or if he's just running the joke into the ground.
If you have a problem with Paul McCartney, you got a problem with yourself.
That being said, Paul reminds me of one of my aunts.

Band on the Run might be one of my all-time favorite albums. I still have my original vinyl copy and it looks brand new. I loved that classic cover with James Coburn and Christopher Lee.

So... sir paul was involved in the soundtrack to one of my favorite video games ever, Destiny.
Anyhow the video for one song he wrote is so ridiculous its impressive in its awfulness. I mean just the worst thing ever... and without further ado here is the shittiest thing he ever done.
