This is exactly why I wasn't in favor of Lavine being a centerpiece in a Butler trade. He's either gonna leave for nothing or sign a contract that has a high likelihood of becoming an albatross. And the Bulls were so committed to the tank and desperate to limit his minutes that they hardly have enough information to make a good decision one way or the other.

20 per was always the max for him imo. If you can get Parker for that price you do it instead of Lavine. If not resign Lavine. If they believe his best basketball has yet to be played you resign him. 20 per will look extremely cheap in a few years.
