Since nothing is really happening in free agency thought I’d mention summer league started today. Jaren Jackson hit 8 three pointers in his 1st game!

I was told in no uncertain terms that NBA free agency was going to "dominate" sports media for "weeks on end" and that the NBA summer league games would get better ratings than the MLB All Star game and HR derby.

Hmph.

I must have missed the cut in of Lebron signing with the Lakers from the other night.

By the way Vegas hasn't started yet and even i'm wrong so what its still a bigger story than the NFL.

What is the big NFL story currently? Maybe Billypotoons can elaborate on the constant "shifting of the goalposts" since he is the resident expert on that sort of thing.

This is offseason basketball. The hottest story right now is Lebron signing with the Lakers.

I'm not going to argue baseball. Its inseason. I was told that people will always or 99% of the time (got to leave some wiggle room) care about offseason Football than in season Basketball yet i have found only one instance (first day of the NFL draft) where this is actually the case.

That should be cool. I'm anxious to see Ayton and Carter play. I'd heard that Doncic may not play. Have you heard that also?

I have no idea on Doncic. I think we’re going to see Jackson and Bamba go at it, little bit of Bagley, then Bulls vs Lakers. That’ll be enough. Last year, I was falling asleep during the 4th game. Too much basketball and probably too much beer.

Yeah those amount of games will wear on a person after awhile. There are about 5-6 guys including Fultz that i want to see.

Didn’t know Grayson Allen had hops like this. Didn’t even know he could dunk.

Yeah Bagley isn't all that skilled. It is crazy how guys get exposed when they have to play against Men. I think he will be ok in time. Freakish athletic ability. I haven't been really checking the games as i am moreso waiting for Vegas but early on Jaren Jackson looks like a better player. Vegas will show more.

Donovan mitchell seems to have a man crush on him

Donic and JJ will be the 2 best players out of this draft when all done

Donovan Mitchell is quickly replacing Kawhi as my favorite player. Crashed a random fan’s 4th of July party yesterday since his plans fell through. Seems like a genuine great dude and for some reason seems very happy in SLC.

Needs to improve on defense and effort(HUGE red flag) to keep up with JJJ.

You can't even construe what the argument was about. Hint: That wasn't it.

After seeing a few of his games the guy who has me worried the most is Bagley. He looks positively awful. Can't even get a shot off.

JJJ looks great. No surprise there, I've had him in my top 3 since halfway through the college season.

Trae struggling with the shot as are most of the rookies, but he's passing really well and getting open looks unlike Bagley.

Chimeze Metu has looked good for a second rounder.

Nothing special from Grayson Allen or Lonnie Walker so far.

Trae Young looks terrible. Absolutely terrible. He looks small slow and and can't jump. Can't even beat guys one on one in the open court.

I'm glad that one of the color guys from last night called it. Said he is unimpressive and really doesn't know what he will do well as an NBA player.

Could have used generic talking points like 'he's young" "its Summer league" etc. When you watch him you see that there isn't anything special about him.
