Bernstein/Holmes would be insufferable. Too much geeky comic book and hip hop music talk. Then Holmes would try to show everyone how he is more cultured than Bernstein resulting in a boring restaurant discussion. No thanks.

Bernstein/Rosner was always my #1 choice after Boers retired. Actually, I preferred Rosner to Boers over the last 5 years anyways.

It’s all about proving a point - very obvious.
I like listening to Bernstein. I always felt Dan could be a national superstar if he ever wanted that. He’s the best in business. The difficulties in working with him were merely annoying at worst and far from some of the experiences I encountered with Murph or have heard about other guys in the business.
Hanley being removed is a terrible move by Jimmy but I’m sure his team on the morning show fought against it.
The Score has had 3 periods - 1. the beginning and initial growth
2. The powerhouse days anchored by @RealTerryBoers and @dan_bernstein
3. The DeCastro Destruction
Maybe @McNeil_Parkins can set the over/under on when Jimmy leaves?

Bernstein and Holmes would be a decent listen middays. Leery has always seemed to be able to hold his own with Dan and not get sucked into Dan's vortex of influence. Like Goff, McDoink falls into the Bernsie-sycophant mode.

The "Powerhouse" days of the Score really had little to do with on air content or producers. McNeil was fired from ESPN which was the real reason behind B&B getting some ratings.

B&B had caught up with and often beat MJH before Mac was shown the door.

This is just not true, MJH was winning that slot, which is what made Mac's dismissal such a shock and also the reason why 670 was so quick to pick him up.

MJH started slowly, then kicked B&B’s butts for a couple of years and then were caught and often surpassed. It was neck and neck for many months so it was a shock when Mac was let go. Mac is a proven commodity but MANY on this board forget about the return of B&B.

It is interesting after hearing from insiders on this site that Sir was a dork known for having boring sausage parties now is the hero of the aging young guys like Goff and drinky.

I seem to remember those guys making fun of Sir regularly on their show back when they used to do weekends.
