His interview with Phil was really good. That guy is something else. It was interesting hearing him talk about his risk management. If a certain shot is worth picking up a quarter stroke or a half stroke. The David Toms Ryder Cup story was good too. Looking forward to part 2 next Monday.

Looking forward to watching it, I have it sitting on the DVR now. Hawg, that is why I am so interested in watching it. Wanted to see if
he was as smug and cocky as everyone says.

If I was a 42 time PGA tour winner with a short game as good as his, I would be totally smug as well

Feherty's are great. Almost all of them are cool to watch. I have the Phil one sitting on my DVR as well.

Awesome.... My favorite Phil story was this one from way back in the day:

It is a moment generally lost in the years of greatness that followed, but is worth recalling here, the lesson that Arizona State's Phil Mickelson gave a college rival, Arizona's Manny Zerman, in the All American Collegiate in 1991.

Mickelson wanted a drop from what he said was a plugged lie in the mud, 50 yards from the green. Zerman would not allow him to take one, so Mickelson holed his next shot for eagle.

"The next time he wants a drop," Zerman's coach said to him, "give it to him."

By the way, Manny Zerman was a very good player back in the day.

He was, and I also believe that they played one year of high school golf together. No love lost between those two.

Maybe you more serious golf fans can weigh in on this . I’m watching this episode with Brad Faxon and Billy Andrade. Feherty goes through their bonafides and says about Faxon, one of if not THE greatest putters ever . Again I’m more of a casual golf fan especially pre Tiger when Faxon was playing but is that just cock gobbling hyperbole on Fehertys part or is this an acknowledged thing amongst those in the know ? I always heard Crenshaw’s name at the top of the list when best putters is discussed ( and of course Tiger, despite Julie’s expert analysis )

I would not have guessed Faxon but I saw 3 different top 10 putter lists off of Google and he was on all of them.

Faxon would definitely be on the list of greatest putters of all time. A lot of pros go to him for lessons. I believe a few months ago he was helping Rory and has recently helped Tiger.

He was a very good short game player and especially putter. He was average at best with everything else which is probably why you haven't heard of him
much.
