Last time I checked it was Chris Williams who's the O-Tackle from Vanderbilt that the Bears might draft....

http://vucommodores.cstv.com/sports/m-f ... liams.html

NFL Draft Acumen with MJH.... They're in mid-BASEball season form today.

I'm livin' the high life knowing this minutia off the top of my head too btw. ;)

You mean Big Cat...on the non-vasectomized womanizing simpleton / all-around D-bag?

Doesn't this belong in the wrestling section?

In any case, they better get a Left tackle with the first pick. With Jared Allen joining the Vikings and the Bears already having a terrible O-line, there is no question how they should draft.

He's a tackle. He's got a name. He's a Commodore......

I also got a smile from Mac's reference to "my guys in the Smoky Mountains" tell me ... The Smoky Mountains are 175 miles from Nashville and surround Knoxville, not Nashville. It's the Cumberland Mountains that are closest to Vandy. But no matter. Trivial details. We got the point. The Bears and Mac like the big Dore. And Mac likes the Doors. So now I have a question: Who's Mac's favorite Dore? Chris, Tom, Kevin or Jim?

I thought the Bears wanted to draft Vandy from Oak Park .

Actually, Mac called it Vann. Grid was correcting Mac calling him "James Williams" from Vandy.

Thumbs up to Mac. MJH didn't spend days discussing the draft and wasting hours of airtime talking about guys we'll never hear about again, that would have been interesting only for the six draft junkies listening in. Instead, he got the one thing right that mattered for his listeners/Bears fans.

Actually, Grid not only called the first rounder, he also predicted the Bears 2nd rounder:

I'll say that Grid is less creepy looking than Kiper. That could be damning with faint praise, though.

Coast, your draft analysis evaluation makes it appear that you LISTENED to b both shows.
I doubt that you did that. That would be eight hours of listening a day. I call that a waste.
I didn't mind "wasting" my time with "Who's Your Guy".
Do me a favor. Keep your dial tuned to AM 1000 and leave the WSCR shots to those who ACTUALLY listened to the show.

You want to tell other people to what they should listen? Thanks for your advice. I appreciate knowing about your interest in controlling others' listening habits. I don't listen to commercials, so I frequently flip through the dial during the day. I don't need to listen to all of a show to know what they are doing with some of their time. I heard enough of draft blab on several shows on 1000, 670 and XM to have a general sense of how focused different shows were on it. If I tune to shows sporadically several times during the day and certain shows are mostly talking about the draft at different times during the same show, then yes, it's a fair statement that they were apparently spending a lot of time on the draft. I know they talked about other things. Never said they didn't. If extensive draft talk is your cup of tea, I'm happy for you. I don't judge you for it. I'm just pleased that there is at least one show that doesn't do that.

I don't think it's my listening habits you have a problem with. You thought I was taking a shot at B&B, when actually I was referring to a few shows that have had a lot of draft talk. Mike and Mike on ESPN 1000 went way overboard on it for weeks with Kuiper on regularly. I don't have to listen to every minute of a show to have an opinion about some of it. But thanks for your concern.

I listened to both shows after the Bears first pick.

I thought both were pretty good - but it sounded like the ESPN one was at a much noiser venue.

I can listen to Hub Arkush talk football for hours on end - now that he's not a lacky for the Bears organization any longer.

It's just the way you couched your comments. "Wasting hours of airtime talking about guys we'll never hear about again". That can be construed to be discussion about "Who's Your Guy" since there were some obscure names being brought up.
I thought you were taking a shot at them, and it didn't appear that you had listened entirely -- or much - to their show.
I'm not concerned with your listening choice.
It just seemed like you were painting with a pretty broad brush.

There also were obscure names thrown out on Mike and Mike, Steve Czaban, and the boys after dark on ESPN. I made a statement about other programs...I didn't say how many other programs or mention any by name. Each of those three shows did spend hours talking about obscure players. How many hours I don't know, but I heard enough to know it was too much for my taste.

But where have I heard you say this before about a "broad brush"? I think you need some new material...and a broader perspective about interpreting what people write. But if you can't do that, then you might consider ignoring my posts altogether. That would save both of us time.

Relax, it's just a message board.
I don't agree with you on a few subjects, and now you're advising me on how to read and write.
