Holy shit, did I just hear a commercial for Verizon where someone does a terrible Len Kasper impression going "that's a home run!"?

That Audi commercial with the girl who wins employee of the year and smirks while she crosses out "work for" and writes '"start" your dream company'. She then quits her job and goes directly to the dealership to buy an Audi. Not a good start to her business if you ask me.

Is the "learn to buy tax lien certificates" thing a scam? The title of the publication they tout in their commercial "Proof: Why Tax Lien Certificates are the Superior Investment Vehicle for Your Financial Success." doesn't exactly roll off the tongue.

I like the "pants, pants, pants, coffee" commercial.

The guy in the Sparkling Ice plus caffeine commercials sounds like Casey Kasem.

There is a car commercial where a mom shuttling her kids around pretends to be an Uber driver that I hate on about six different levels.

It's as bad as the Wendy's/Godfather one.

No sense making a show thread but that new Bernsie commercial is dumb. Are we supposed to believe he had a devastating weather event requiring restoration? And it was handle by a company only doing business in Lake County?

I don't know what the ad was for, but I almost drived off the side of the road when i heard the words "ICONIC Soldier Field".

Jesus Christ....everyone one knows that thing is an albatross.

The It's Just Lunch radio spot where the lady lawyer and a judge are talking about her client (who is playing/making music?) makes nooo fucking sense.

There's an AT&T ad running during the Cubs broadcasts that has a teenager asking Dad "Can I play video games on the tablet" to which Dad replies "How about we finish your homework, first" and then the punk says "DAMNNNNNN", to which Dear Ole Dad ought to beat the kid with the tablet until both were broken.

The other commercial, I believe also for AT&T, features a gentleman who talks of his teleconferences from home on his free internet that he conducts while pants-less. I assume the man is spmack.

Mulligan is doing commercials for Dietz & Watson in which he sounds like Will Ferrel's Jacob Silj character who suffers from "voice immodulation." What is that you ask? He is unable to control the pitch or volume of his voice: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oDgez8QDAKo

Hanley (before he left) seemed to have issues with his Dietz & Watson reads too. On his other spots he sounded upbeat, but for the D&W commercials he sounded like someone shot his dog.

There's a commercial that runs about 10 times during the 3 hour Jim Rome Show on TV, for some fuckin fanduel or fantasy football bullshit that features background music of who I'm guessing is Greta Van Fleet, just a wordless 'doing-my-best-Plant-impersonation" howl over some music that sounds like a Houses Of The Holy d-side. It's bad enough, but it's literally on during every ad break.
That bands fucking bothers me.

Hearing Jurko read commercial copy is the aural equivalent of seeing a chubby kid who needs a bath stuffed into a suit that's at least one size too small. So awkward...and that doesn't even count the John Cicco commercials which are only slightly less awful than 1-877-KARS4KIDS.

that fucking Echo commercial with the doofus having to take care of their little baby while the mom goes away. i can only imagine what pretentious name this baby has been given by these goiters.

this commercial is more creepy even though it's meant to be "sweet". but a goddamn machine telling me my wife tells me she's proud of me doesn't make me feel warm inside. it comes off more like a "black mirror" premise, where in the end the guy ends up leaving his wife for the Echo. and then the Echo emits carbon monoxide, killing him.

Not to get all MRA-douchebag on ya, (I'm not an MRA), I am just so tired of so many ads portraying men as fucking half-wits who need to be wearing helmets and consulting large-print "How To Adult Like A Woman Does" manuals for literally every mundane task in their lives. It's just such a hacky advertising trope.

amazon is really cornering the market on these smarmy commercial packages. the other one is with this mom getting an outfit so that she can "pursue her dream"...

...of being an open mic comic.

heart swelling.
