I knew Ozzie was gonna squeeze. I thought it was wrong before it happened. Not with Anderson. You had 1 out and man on 3rd.

Give your self 2 chances. Anderson hits a fly it will be tough for the outfielders to throw him out at home under the wet conditions. Even a ground ball would have been tough for the drawn in infield to field.

It was a dumb move by Ozzie considering all of these factors.

I wonder when the last time Anderson was asked to bunt in any circumstance and it looked like the O's knew it was coming.

The game that will never end. Enjoyed Hawk saying nothing until Uribe hits that laser beam, then screams over DJ. DJ just has to love that asshole.

The squeeze play was a dumb idea by Ozzie, but Anderson's execution was horrible. I wish he would go away forever.

1 o'clock scheduled start and this game isn't gonna end until 10pm like a regular night game.

What a miserable 4 game series this has been weather wise. Delays, and a double header. It would be so nice to take 3 out of 4 with all of this shit.

Ranger, do you get paid extra for these days? You've been doing extra shows for the last few days.

Sox and Orioles are done playing for the year.

Since the Orioles have to play here it will probably be held on a day when the Orioles are off and the Sox have a night game vs another team.

So it's really the Orioles who are inconvenienced. I guess they could do it when both are off but why take a day off away from both teams when you don't have to?

Sox kind of luck out. They can use Dye when the game is resumed. He was active today but just wasn't gonna play.

You have to use the roster of this day when the game is resumed. I've often wondered how it works if somebody gets traded in the mean time. Does he have to come back?  Probably not but I'll bet you won't be able to fill that roster spot. You'll have to play a man short.

Here is an interesting note. Obviously you can't use the pitchers that were pulled when it was rained out.

Linebrink pitched the 10th and 11th. The game was called after 11.

Linebrink wasn't pulled so he can start the 12th when it's resumed. He obviously wasn't gonna go 3 innings today. But now he can. That's what Ozzie should do. Why waste him when he'll be fresh? Their closer will probably start the 12th as well since he wasn't pulled.

Play was just fucking stupid. Not because it didn't work, but with the condition of the field being what it was, I was certain CQ would get injured in trying to stop and start or cut quickly.

Besides, there was 1 out with a man on third. Just hit a pop fly to deep center and that's the game.

The White Sox play in Baltimore August 25-27. They will probably pick it up then. I'm sure the Sox would rather play these couple innings on the road rather than waste an off day or have extra travel.

Oh. I thought they were done. Yeah, they'll play it there but the Sox will obviously still bat in the bottom each inning even though they are in the Orioles park.

thats a mon-wed series, and the Sox are off on Thursday. Depending on the O's schedule, they might do it then. Otherwise, they will probably restart this game at likle 2:00 on Tuesday, and then have the regularly scheduled nightcap.

No. They can start an hour or so before their regular game starts. That way fans who have tickets for the regular game can see it. It shouldn't last too long. If it does, so what? They'll just start the regular game shortly after it's over.

I can't see the Orioles playing it on an off day and charging money for a game that's shouldn't even be at their park. Especially for a game that could end in an inning.

It would be cool if the Orioles start to suck and trade away their good players. It's in August so that's well past the trading deadline. That way they will have a short roster for that game.

Sox are in good shape. The only guy from the pen that's gone is Jenks. But they have to start Linebrink, like I said, or he'll be gone too.

It's official.

The game will be played Monday, August 25th in Baltimore. Right before the Sox/Orioles scheduled game.
