I think North was frustrating Steve Stone this morning with a bunch of nonsensical ramblings.

North said the Sox could've gotten Reid Johnson, to which Stone replied they didn't need Johnson once they had Swisher, to which North replied they could've gotten Johnson instead of Swisher, to which Stone pointed out Johnson wasn't let go by Toronto until March, long after the Swisher acquisition . . . geez, how thick is North's skull?

Anyway, the segment had a happy ending as North announced that, due to his status as a member of the Chicago Sports Hall of Fame, he has nominating powers and he nominated Stone and apparently he was accepted and will be inducted later this year.

But can he get him free Springer tickets?

That Chicago Sports Hall of Fame is one of the biggest stroke jobs I have ever seen.

Has anyone ever been there?

It was inside the merryvile academy and was juts a means of getting donations, so it was never a public Hall, it is some weird club for old men to put on suits that are too tight, sit around and slap back and have bad drinks.

Better hall of fame was on the front page of this website which is how I found the site in the first place. I heard someone on the air talking about this hall of fame, googled it and this place came up.

They should have a real hall somewhere

We've talked about this before. Nobody knows what it is and where it is. Nobody visits it.

It's just an opportunity for D list celebrities like Pappy and others like him to hold a dinner and talk about how great they all are. It's probably run by some Chicago rich guys who likes to rub shoulders with athletes.

I guess they actually induct athletes. But it's basically whatever athlete agrees to go to the dinner gets to be in this HOF I think.

"Dat's a great idea! From now on, I will graciously provide, out of my own pocket, free Jerry Springer tickets to each new inductee to da Chicago Sports Hall uh Fame, of which I is a proud member, by da way. I hope Stoney enjoys his visit to da Springer show! Jen, call da Springer peepuls an' get on dis right away!"

This is were Pappy makes me scratch my head. He says, he doesnt want credit or doesnt want to be acknowledged, but yet, he calls Stone to make sure he knew who voted him in. From what I understand, to get in, it has a lot to do with donations and free pub.

It appears Pappy is trying to "you owe me" if he leaves the score and needs some calls made on his behalf.

He's trying to lure Stone onto his basement webcast with Fritzie!
