It’s showcase season i.e. money making season. There are showcases everywhere and no shortage of parents willing to shell out big money to see Little Johnny get the recognition only money could buy.

If Blake Rutherford was still in the Yankees system and had the year he has had he would be considered a top 25, perhaps even top 10, prospect in baseball. His offensive and defensive profiles are great with good speed and really encouraging plate discipline.

I think it was one quote by one source that late last year his swing looked out of sorts and the ball didn't sound good his bat and it's like he went from ~30th best prospect in tbe game to off the board.

He is looking good now.
