1) If you want to, sure ... but don't do it for a dopey reason (e.g., 'aspartame is bad, mmkay' ... it's not)

2) Try Coke Sugar-Free (or whatever) ... it's a ton better and it tastes more like proper Coke ... the Coke Zero version was slightly better imo but that's gone.

Well of course one shouldn't be sitting around drinking pop all day, that's just a given.

There's also seltzer water ... I hated it too for a long time but it's really not too bad. Again, not as a regular thing, but it's perfectly fine. The bummer is, ISO, it's hard to beat the name brand stuff ... La Croix I think it's called ... because it seems they have the most fizz, especially against store brands. Plain or lemon are good enough ... tried some other flavors, not so much.

2) Slowly. An ounce or two less a day. Replace with water. At the end, I was taking one swig a day and then throwing the rest away.

Aldi brand is carbonated enough to get the job done. I also feel you get a bit more flavor than LaCroix.

The NICE! brand sparkling cherry flavor water is the truth. That stuff is great.

I’m with DT on this. We’ve pretty much completely switched to sparkling water from pop but only name brand stuff is satisfying. Sort of like pop I guess.

I don’t get you all. I mean, I get consuming large quantities of non addictive stuff, but at least weed gets you high. What does all this carbonated nonsense get you?

Water, coffeee, milk, iced tea/lemonade, whisky, and beer is all you need. I don’t mind mixing whiskey with coke or Diet Coke but that’s all it’s good for.

Water, coffee, and beer makes up 90% of what I drink. Add in the occasional Gatorade/Vitamin Water, Coke, and milk and I could live the rest of my life without drinking anything else.

I'm trying to quit, because I think it's fucked up my stomach.

In an hour I will have gone 48 hours without any diet soda. I drank 8 oz of regular A&W with dinner on Friday, and just water and beer yesterday, and so far today just espresso with cream, and water. I'm going to see if I can get to the White Sox game on Tuesday without having any, that would be 4 days.
