Brewers close to getting Schoop from Os. Where the hell are they going to play all their infield guys? Are they putting Schoop at SS?

Are you serious?

It's a very good thing for the cubs.

Roses are red, Brewer's should just quit....

So there's that.

I wanted him last year. Better late than never, I suppose.

Schryver, 23, has a 2.40 ERA with 59 strikeouts in 48 2/3 relief innings at Class-A this season.

Pittsburgh's front office seems to believe that Milwaukee is pushing all their chips in this year. They have an outside chance at the 2nd wild card this year, but they're also aiming to make a run next year.

The surprising thing is that they went and traded Austin Meadows, which is the guy who theoretically they were moving McCutchen to open up playing time. So obviously it was just a money deal with McCutchen.

I still do not get the Brewers. One of the things I read today several times was the Brewers were getting a starter today come hell or high water. Then all they do is get another infielder. And they still really have no one to play SS. Schoop has played it a little. Maybe they will get a starter in August off waivers

Meadows wasn’t as good as the other rookie.

How would u grade the Cubs deadline? I'm thinking a C, at best. Seemed like Theo got beat out on everyone that was targeted, and settled for eh. Theo better hope he gets something from Yu down the stretch, or someone has some explaining to do.
