It's Chicago's team. Or how Frank perfectly calls them, The Beloved. Perfectly fitting. They're the heart and soul of this city. I genuinely miss those guys. I want them to be great again in my lifetime.

Please, please, just be good. Bear down, Chicago Bears.

Sincerely,

This entire board that are Chicago natives, regardless of race, gender and sexuality; from the farest of the left to the farest of the right. Make all of us proud. Please, Beardown.

Love,

All Of Us.

The Beloved isn't my nickname, its just the one I use most often for this team.

Yes, I would enjoy seeing them in a playoff game before I turn 40. That's four seasons from now. I think (hope) that can happen.

One playoff game isn't going to do it for me. I have no interest in watching them get bounced in the wildcard round. I won't be happy until I see them playing on the third sunday in January.

No one does less with more than the Chicago Bears.

Isn’t the ‘beloved’ a Dan Jiggets thing? That’s how I know it anyways..

And yeah, it’d be nice if the arrow started to point up with this team for the foreseeable future but.. I’m not holding my breath. Too much incompetence at the top of this org for long term sustained success imo.

Yeah we had the unnatural running of Favre right into Rodgers. We are due for a run at the top.

As a fan of the Beloved.. I have to include that habitual line stepper in there.

But I'm in the minority. The Bears are what drives Chicago sports and sports radio. So much is better when the Bears are good and it's been too damn long since they've been good.

there are more franchises than this one that call their team "the beloved". even a crop of saints fans use that term.

Nah, the radio is better when the team is terrible. Mad meatballs > Happy meatballs.

You got that right...the Dave McInnis fiasco might be my favorite day ever listening to WSCR. It was glorious.

The team has been terrible for years, yet poor Bernsie has lost two on air partners and now finds himself relegated to mid-days. Poor DB.

Hockey teams from Canada.

The Habs trip on their dicks every day, and the Leafs only now stopped, but the Western Canadian teams and Ottawa have to deal with small populations, economies that aren't big enough to shoulder hostile exchange rates, and players who refuse to play in those cities. The Winnipeg Jets are basically a vanity project/toy for the guy who owns Reuters. The Bears are supposed to be a cornerstone of the league.
