Pretty sure he is playing 3B. Sadly, our best 3B prospect....

I think I would put him ahead of Burger at this point.

Zack Burdi will be back tomorrow debuting in the AZL. He's still a prospect I like a great deal.

I was the only guy at Burdi’s last HS start. I wanted to see if it got any better. It didn’t. He was 86-89 w/zero command. Three years later he’s 96-99 on the black. The velo jump didn’t surprise me as much as the improved command.

I am assuming he went to college?

*Let the record show* I don’t think Burdi or any other Louisville players use steroids. They just have an uncanny ability to turn fringe prospects into dudes year after year.

I read he changed his grip on the curve, after talking with Dunning.

Cease may be one of the top 3 or so RHP in all the minors.

The past 2 months for him have been inhuman. He has found something and elevated his status massively.

I read he changed his grip on the curve, after talking with Dunning.

They also changed his delivery. It's much more fluid and not nearly as violent as it was before. It's allowing him to lower his walk rate and throw quality strikes.

Oh. I thought you meant the uncanny ability was the "special water". Wow. What a terrible misread by me.

Bryce Bush went 2/4 with a HR and triple. Not in AZL anymore, this was in Great Falls.

Robert at 3 at this stage is crazy talk. For me Madrigal is probably tied with Kopech for 2 with Cease not too far behind.

I think Robert this high is kinda crazy. I feel Cease is kinda #3 for me, at this moment.

There is just too much to like about Madrigal for me. Eloy is next-level, he's just a total beast and putting anywhere but 1 is crazy, but Madrigal is closer than many are letting on.

Madrigal I feel, is more of a polished product. I think he has a high floor, just worry about the ceiling. I also worry about his walk rate. I could see he and Collins hitting 1-2, and taking a bunch of pitches at the top of the lineup.

He won't need to walk much to get on base. He clearly has plate discipline.

Is him constantly hitting the ball, sustainable?

Is there a comparable that has played in MLB for him? Eckstein?

Its dumb that Kopech continues to languish at Charlotte.

Kopech was hitting 100, with control, in the 7th inning.

Alec Hansen finally pitched for WS but only went 2 innings. Not sure if that was the plan.
