I think Kenosha used to be a bit worse than it is now but has gotten a little better around the lakefront and the train station as it's become the northernmost suburb of Chicago. There are some run-down neighborhoods but most of it is just Slightly-Less-Pleasant Prairie.

I dunno, last time I was in Kenosha, it seemed okay, but that was like eight years ago. 50 east of I-94 is fine.
